Details | Followed MtnarG, Lancer, and Idefix into the fray late morning with my 6mX3. There was some time off foil, but flying most of the time with lots of pumping. My newly acquired gybe skill was very much humbled in the lighter winds. I got kelped often and tended to suffer from kelparanoia - the constant obsessive checking of foil and ass end for kelp klingons whenever lift is not achieved. Took a break after an hour and switched to my Cab6.2 tractor. Much more time on foil and gybe success. Played follow the leader with Idefix and pulled off 8ish quick gybes in a row. Conditions definitely improved. Ended the session after an hour to make a scheduled session with the senior crew at Willows. After a noontime brew. [from Sailing Log on Friday July 07, 2023] |
