| Details | A weird day with ominous vibe. Slightly overcast, flat light, steel grey waters. Fell repeatedly at the start, found myself looking for a buoy to swim to and hang on to catch my breath. A vague distant tune rattling around in my head. I'm down again! A wave pushes me toward my board as I'm simultaneously kicking away from it. Nuh Nuh. shite that hurt, back up and standing, blood running over the rails. Nuh Nuh. Look down and my middle toe has a large floppy scallop of flesh down near the base, can't tell if the other little piggies are ok as they're covered in blood. NUH NUH nuh NUH. It doesn't really hurt, pretty sure I can carry on for a bit, but how much chum does the grey man need before he turns on me(?) nuh NUH NAAAH nuh !!! It all comes back to me it's Jaws 50th anniversary today and I'm not about to celebrate with him as I scamper to the beach to look for 1st aid. Luck would have it Ang (Highrocker) is well equipped, loans me medic supplies, I staunch the flow and roll on home, safe on terra firma.
