Boat Ramp launch of falling tide minimized walk to water. Nicely juiced from the get-go on the 10m, tho oddly wind would drop out by the last bank where the windswell was breaking. Best up around the Mile Marker for both wind and waves, so spent most of the time up there.

Took afternoon off work and arrived at Willows 1:30pm with Sir Lancer-lot on the beach, looking for Wind. I took out the wind meter and stood by the stairs and it was 7-10kts. We both saw some darker patches a way out so we decided to rig big and hope. WestCoast and The Twizz both showed up and decided to 'just talk about wind'. Bonus local sessions in Mill Bay. Crosswind with soft swell. Shifty for the first session, adequately powered on the 5m. FraserMC timed it just right on the late shift in 4m winds and found good lines mid-inlet while I played small waves closer to shore over sandbar.

Paused for lunch and a warm shower. Then gathered the damp gear for another run at Clover pt. Wore the dry wetsuit inside the wet wetsuit. Very cosy. Hard to bend the limbs tho. Swell quality was high and fast! Super fun slide with bwd. Came in just as the post week crew arrived.

Great after work session at the home spot, thanks Idefix for doing a second session and being my wingman. Went through most of the inventory today, 2x board, 2x wing and 2x foil. Started out on the big gear and after about 45 mins it built to a solid 25 so in for the 4m smaller board and foil. Best waves I have ever had in Mill Bay, had some great rides and a ton of fun with the new boom. Nice to have a bit of a mellow session close to home.

New North wings arrived this morning and by 4:30 the 3.5 had its first stab sized rip. Clover SE gales are perfect for breaking in new gear. Could have should have been on the 2.9 as it was nuking. Started on the Spitfire then downsized to Art Pro 1001. Need to get a smaller foil for these conditions. Big fast lumps out there. Fun ish. Cabrinah 3.5 and 5.0 for sale, $300 each.

Challenging first day in the gorgeous Caribean waters. Big shorebreak, confused swell, gusty winds, and mediocre skills made for a tiring first day. GPS glitched in the upload, but it displayed 10km traveled. Feels about right. Lots of kiters to maneuver around. Only 3 wingers noted, including me. Looked really good, hoped to get some yummy bar waves before tide drop. The 4.7/85 was too optimistic, got 94 for a few ok runs but then it dropped some, sauna van pause, in 20min kicked up nicely but bar was thin, wind ok but no real waves. Beautiful sunny after work session, feels like spring is almost here. Nice waves and I got on a few but I just couldn't get really locked in for long. Spent a lot of time in the water after many take downs by the sticks and kelp in the big ebb. Tried the new boom on the 4m and although the wing flies much differently I can tell its going to be a game changer.

Forced myself to have another go on the parawing despite epic looking winging conditions. Ended up being the best session yet for me on the PW! Every DW run was successful and most redeploys worked out. Wind was at the max for the 4m, but I was able to manage ok. Had to sit down on one tack to wait out a big gust before launching again. The 960 feels perfect for easy launches and fun DW turns. It loves the slower speed of the RB swell and is easy to grave dig back up. Tried a second session but the PW had ... (more)

Ross Bay in the sunshine! Great consistent wind. Nicely powered on the 4m most of the time to over powered at times. Landed 2 360's in a row for the first attempts of 2025 and then could not get another to finish the session after a few attempts. Super fun out there today! Hands were still freezing when I came in. Few more weeks and it might actually feel warm again.
