Strong and steady. Steady, solid wind at Sp'akw'us Feather Park. Northbound traffic delays started at Loins Bay and added about an hour to the trip up (just enough time for the tide to come up and fill the river with chop. Wind was stronger than I was expecting and had to rig the 5.3 full flat to keep it working. The 4.5/92 would have likely been a better choice (if I hadn't left the 92 at home). Lots of long weekend boat traffic kept you on your toes. Fun afternoon in the sun!

Took the omen 60l out for a rip. No brainer. Easy transition from 72l. This is a surf board. Stuck to a larger wing. Excellent Session. Second session ever at Nimpkish. Heaven. Wind is picking up and I am learning so much.

Sorry about the log bomb in advance. First of three days at Nimpkish. Mind blown. So good. First day also on new KT Dragonfly DW board. Easy. No stress transtioning at all. Doesn't want to launch across a wave but holy s*%t, does it like to point downwind and catch waves. That's a first. Very grateful. Not crazy wind. The Popers charismatic OSR made me a believer and I followed his lead. Similar to yesterday with poor winds in the bay and the wind line out by CLover. My big gear got me up and was able to play in the turbulent, med sized swells out by the point. I was able to witness Shaggy's and GregCan's flag out skill while I carved well powered around the waves and marvelled at their swell play. I started to miss jibes signalling a drop in winds. I made it back in before full lull for bevys with Greg and Shag.

First I tried with the 10m, that was a no go. Way too much wind for the 10m. So, geared down to my 7m. That went much better. I had tow sessions, each about 1 hour long. On my last session I fell over the nose of the board and ripped my front binding out. Kited for a bit without the front binding, I guess it can be done' :)

Crowded out The Pope so he ended his session as I started. Grandson day with Oliver drifting down the bay and me either helping with the WoSh or sailing the board upwind. Some
Foiling runs for me but so great to get the grandson doing it. He was getting on his feet even on the dragonfly but settled right into the Takuma. Was going upwind slogging at end and I think he would have got foiling if the wind had strengthened. He said 'tons of fun' about 8 times later. :)

Arrived at 4pm, as it took an hour to get from Zcostco to Goldstream. Ridiculous! Got on the water almost right away. A bit Gusty but sunny and warm water. A little over powered on my 4.5m but too lazy to rig the 3.9m. Burger and red wine for dinner. Best site in the whole place. still blowing at 8:30pm. 4-cast looks good. I got a 4m Wing so hoping to get lots of Wing time this week. Oh ya, choco-mint Oreos for dessert!! Just a bit lonely.

Saw the wind jump at Ogden so I loaded up and biked down to Ross Bay. Launched just before 3pm and had a full hour powered up on my 7m. My first entire session with no other wings in the bay -- I barely had to look where I was going! ;) The wind started to drop a bit so I headed in and passed Morley as he was heading out. Greeted by WindJunky and GregCan at the beach, just about launch, then chatted with Ryan and headed home. Not a bad session!

I saw that the wind came up early and headed down. It was lightly breezy and perfect wind for my big kite. I got a launch from my stunt kite friend (whose name escapes me again) and enjoyed an easy reef start given how southerly the wind was. I enjoyed another dreamy easy light wind cruise, cutting kelp at each end of my tacks at Clover or Finlayson Point. Tech issues to start, sorted, least wind yet. Ass dragging around finally a wind stretch, upwind no issue today when there was any gust. Made my first half dozen transitions in the windy stretch, yay!!

Finally got to test out the F2 after its big nose job. On arrival wind seemed to be really steady and slowly ramping up. Tested the 115L on a 5.0 but quickly changed to the 99L. Later it dropped off a bit and rigged the 5.7 and jumped back on the 115L. Was really hoping to get out there and try that 80L but every time I pull that thing out of the van' wind drops :'( oh well' maybe Monday?

I left work early and hoped that I could find wind to start my weekend. There was a big wind bubble onshore and it took a long while to go away. Light winds with swell in the bay made for tough foiling conditions. Poper and GregCan worked their way to the wind line at CLover level, so I pulled out my paddle and stroked my way out to join them. I was lucky to catch a gust at 3/4 bay level and foiled out to the swells. Lots of wind for my big gear to let me play in the swells. Matt was looking smooth and fast on his jibe progression while Greg worked his new HA 999. Winds reduced after about an hour. Sadly, my GPS failed to record my entire session.

Well it looked windy. :( Wasn't. Slogged the 110 around & couldn't wait to get kiting today. Got another evening session where it was so bent south up the inlet I hadn't seen that before'.a few semi decent runs and died again. Fun to own it for a bit :)

Wind was 4.0 as I rigged with little whitecaps on the gusts and cross off. I found I'd rigged small and had to pump pretty hard to foil and not enough in the lulls to keep my balance. Good to get out solo anyway. Felt pretty good generally and 4 kg lighter in the board after kayak trip for 15 days. Of course I hit the lull as the wind clocked. As I drove away it was back to 4.0.

Another round of Nitinat vacation with the gorgeous ex-fiance wingwife and visits by girls and their boys. It was all a big blur of fun and sun and wind and fun and campfires and fun. Delayed the adventure to Wed July31 due to rain and cloud present. Missed logging the first few days and once that happened there's no recovering those moments and anecdotes to put in the logs, so these will be brief, rinse, repeat notes and will have to let the GPS tell the story of the day.

Learning close to shore. Tried T's Airbolt 120 with 1850 first 1.5 hrs. Easy to progress flying. Wind increased so took out KT 105 and 1550. Improving enough to easily maintain flight; finding the foot position sweet spot is so finicky! Tried initiating a few gybes but all ended in crashes. Wind soon became too strong for the 5.0 so I went in. I was pretty tired from hauling myself onto the board so many times anyway. Fun few hours! I was seduced by 10kts NNE reported at RVYC. 26deg C and sunshine, Gretzky's rule whispered that it was worth taking the shot. Sadly, by the time I got there it was down to 5-8kts. But I was there, so I took the shot. Maybe there was wind in the middle. And there was! About 8kts and perfect for taxiing around off foil. Oh well, I got a nice tan for my commitment. Maybe Friday will be better...
