Got to the teahouse at 10 just in case the wind forecast was correct. Ended up having to wait until 1130 to get foilable winds for a newb. NE 12-17 once I got in and did a few easy laps of teahouse to MTI. At about noon, winds shifted to SE and I got hit by some pretty big gusts. Mellow conditions changed to angry 2ft swell and 25-35kts. Cab6 was way overpowered and I was hard-pressed to foil back to teahouse from CP. I've never seen the conditions change so quickly in my short foiling experience. I quickly exited as the conditions far exceeded my novice skill level. idefix helped me out on the beach as I stumbled back ashore. Within about 15minutes the forecasted +40kt winds had arrived. Got out just in time. idefix went off to check out Cad and I headed for Elk lake to escape the carnage.
