Model was consistent West and trees were moving a bit at home so went to go see if it would work in Pat Bay. Waited for 30 mins and it dropped from about 8 to about 6. But decided to get out for a sail anyways. Picked up to 10ish 10 mins later and pumped up on foil ' all thanks to the new progressive rear foil which for the first time I can actually feel thrust from the foils when pumping board. Lot of work to get up but once up the 6.5m was powered enough to power upwind.
Picked up to 12ish and had some good fast runs. Definitely the rear foil has changed the entire feel and I was actually quite out of control for a bit. Seems like it has too much power' maybe should have got the 300 instead of 400. But I'll keep trying to get used to it. Not even close on the gybes, going backwards there' hopefully get back to making progress soon.
