Great day!
A fair bit of E in the wind made it hard to read the conditions from the parking lot, almost pumped my 10m but fortunately Philippe with the local knowledge sagely advised on the 7m. Quite lit for the next hour with 1'-2' of depower pulled, even with the Covid weight and layers of rubber. Some skinny guy keeps wearing my harness'.
Best rides was turning off sizeable swell on the outside and riding the clean waves off the Point into the inside. Fins fortunately stayed attached to board, even with some cheeky late bottom turns. Gloves were fucking up my game so came in and ditched them. Second sesh even better with improved kite control and gusts smoothing out. Still powered on the 7m, Dan showed up and was kind enough to stay off my waves by promptly losing his board, jettisoning his kite and working on his backstroke. Debrief beers highly enjoyable.
Once again Philippe suggested checking Sargent Bay for the wayward kite (5km away), and wouldn't you know it, found the damn thing on the drive home (!)
