Well, if I knew it was going to be that windy I would have brought a different foil even though that one worked well. Watching and waiting for the wind this morning. It started at IV slowly but with the low tide I decided to wait for Willows. BOOM! it went from 3 to 25kts so packed the man-van and headed to Willows. Arrived at 10:45 to it blowing 20-25kts. Decided to rig the 3.7m Goya and by the time I was rigged and wetsuit on it was blowing 25+ so I flattened the 3.7m. Good Call!! One other Winger out but not sure who it was. Parking lot was full of Easter egg hunters, breakfast eaters and garbage cleaners. The Junkman pulled up and asked where his parking spot was.... haha! He rigged and was out in maybe 4 minutes and got going before I did. The wind continued to strengthen and some more Wings and Kites came out as it was blowing 25-30kts. Most wind that I've foiled in, that I can remember. My 3.7m was completely flat and I was still completely sheeted out with my A$$ sticking out trying to hold on. Wind peaked around 30kts and then began to get softer. More Wings and Kites showed up and yes, another Wind Foiler, WooHoo!! MF4 showed up but unfortunately the wind was dying so only able to get a few runs in. 4 kites out too. As the wind got lighter, I pulled the plug at just the right time to head home and watch the rest of the Masters and enjoy some chocolate and Ice cold Corona. Nice! 4 days in a row, so might take tomorrow off.
