Firstly a huge thanks to Greg (Surfskiguy) that dragged my ass in for over 1hr from outer Clover Pt to Gonzales Beach. Secondly thanks to Brett for driving me back to Clover Pt and Mark (Tweezer) for checking if I was ok at the beach. Was having trouble getting over Clover Pt from the Ross Bay side, due to current and Northerly wind, so decided to try a really long tack way out to clear the Pt. Unfortunately that is when the wind died and the kite went in the water, the current made it impossible to relaunch and after almost losing my board multiple times was able to sort all my gear out and starting swimming and kicking like crazy to try and not get sucked out past Trial Island. After 25mins of struggling, Kayaker Greg -todays Saviour- paddled over the horizon and asked if I was ok, and if I would like a tow in. (For some reason the GPS didn't pick up the towing struggles, I keep my GPS(iPhone) in the chest of my wetsuit and as I was swimming and getting towed my chest was facing down, their might have been a reception issue). At one point during the tow it looked like we might not make it past Harling Pt, but luckily once we got out of the current it made it mush easier. Luckily I didn't lose any gear and a big thanks to Greg (Surfskiguy)!!
