Forgot my hood. Tried to make do with a shell that had a hood on it. Kept my head just warm enough but poor visibility out of small opening and wind flopping of fabric in face.
Wind was gusty making it harder to drive up wind in the lulls (but enough to slog) so some walking up from down wind. Left the water before the wind and waves drop. Understand that it did come back. Got a couple of nice waves (enough to leave happy) in the short time that I was out.
