Interesting session. It started looking like a typical early summer session, with mellow WSW wind and fairly quiet seas. I started on the Duke and had about 20 minutes of good pull in the kite but then it lulled. I came in and grabbed the Tiki and then had another 20-ish minutes of good times on the big board but it lulled again. I came in and thought I was done for the day. I hung around and talked to the small quorum that had assembled and then the wind came back but more westerly. Went out again and had a very powered session on the Duke for about 20 minutes and then the wind started to move to the north. I saw/felt it happening and decided to keep my reaches short and not go too far out. I was glad I did as it quickly went quite north and fickle. I got to shore quickly and really struggled to keep my "new to me" Crave HL 12m up in the air as I went up the boat ramp. I am grateful that Rob helped me land safely. It was a good day but I must say, I am looking forward to more predictable summer time diurnal westerlies.
