Long layoff. So many setups to try out including wing up, deflate, packdown, paddle. Got to get that faux drive running to add to the wing deflate to guaranty kookiest guy on the beach. Should have attempted that first since the swell is better early thermal and my arms weren't gassed from speed runs on the 5.5mode/w800.
China creek is now only 6 mins on the new smooth logging road in my regular car. About 15-20 minutes past Canal Beach. Windy, sunny, warm, big low tide beach, no debris in water, no boats. Only 3 other kiters on the water was a bit disappointing. Windy.com called the wind direction and duration. Strength is the standard 15-25 with occasional 30g (wing scale) thermal you can expect in the inlet, but better direction at the start of the thermal. Plus no glare.
