Found my light wind setup. Once on foil the 980 has the low end of a mega glider. At times was riding through pure glass on apparent wind and pump. Neat that you can feel the water change to glass. Best tack ladders I've ever had by far, 5.5mode has very low resistance compare to the strikes and the 980 can pump your way out of anything. Tapped into 1.5ft swell and boat wake. Finally got the casey/oskar double leg pump on this kit. My legs are burning out long before the foil drops. Will even grave dig off a full touchdown at my 100kg wetsuit weight. Only problem is Sab says no jumping the Razors (too much foam core). Which is fine, it doesn't go fast. Half the speed of a w800/1000. I'll keep those and the 93 mast for speed and jump. But could see adding a smaller razor for higher wind downwind swell. Enjoyed the response of the 73 kraken (actual 76). 980 had no problem reengaging after full 'ride the surface' breach.
Blueish reflection on the warm water. Felt like summer.
Amazon m3 ss hardware waiting by the gate back home. Looking forward to see if the 980 works on a v1 faux drive.
