Two rainbows and a unicorn (the SE wind)! What is going on? It was SUNNY!!! Arrived to find it more east than expected and strong to diminishing ~ Watched big John enthusiastically rig three sails and two boards. Then just as I was grabbing big gear METAR TAF (ESE 20-30 mph) and Tsawwassen's predictions unfolded and the wind rebounded! Rigged medium gear (4.5/92) and it worked, most of the time. Was able to sail up to the boat ramp in one tack on the ESE wind, but the shoulder-high square chop was more than a little unsettling at times. Even better was the reflective waves off the breakwalls south of the boat ramp! Saw Tsawwassen rolling around in the water trying to launch his wing up by the mile marker and decided to abort my plan to sail up there ~ headed back to Centennial on the pushy rolling swell! Milked the on and off ESE until it finally switched SE! The reward was warmer wind and fairly organized useful but modest wind swell! Carl's patience paid off and Gleb joined in for the afterwork session! Glad all the ingredients finally came together!
