I will make that Nootka trip happen if I can BWD. Was there a few years ago with Vadardog and Gmac, and as some may remember, the trip involved great waves, a water taxi, a coast guard rescue and vomit. Things can get gnarly out there in a hurry. There is footage around of Jesse Brown and Brad ...

Try KY Jelly. Won't damage the suit and works well.

I concur with Kus on the Olympus Stylus Tough 8010. We tried it for about a month, and like Kus, every pic regardless of settings was garbage. I thought we bought a lemon but it seems that the camera may be total Shite. We took it back and got a refund.

Gath
I would go with the one that fits. They keep your head surprisingly warm. I just found a thin MEC kayaking beenie in my wife's whitewater bin that I added to my kit. I will try this when it is cold this winter. Mind you, I have never landed a back loop, so you might want to go with Winddoc's advice.

tendon vs hour glass
Dave,
I've used Streamlined tendons for years and have either broken them or discovered that they were cracked where the screw goes through them and ready to break and had to replace them. I keep meaning to bight the bullet and get new plates/ u joints etc. Prob 2 bolt Chinook hour glass. I think ...

Where to sail in Europe
I've sailed in both Tarifa and Guincho, Portugal. Tarifa in the summer is a lot like the Gorge in terms of wind consistency and strength. It is a fun place. Lots of shops lots, of different locations. Mostly bump and jump in summer on Levante wind. Lots of kiting happening there now. Check out Los ...

Weird wave
Sorry to hear about the epic Kus. I wasn't sailing this day. Think we took the day out for some surf on the west coast. Time will heal this wound my friend. Maui is amazing. It can eat gear and the wallet. However, when it all comes together it will quickly erase the hate. I ate shit on double ...

wind model
The model has replaced almost every other weather predictor for me. I use it before windsurfing, surfing, fishing or even a hiking trip. It seems to be the most accurate for our local conditions. I love it and check it every day!

broken boom
As a fellow dunkinite, I can relate with DWD. Aluminum Chinook booms are cheap compared to carbon, last just as long (But replace them every year or two to be safe) and remind me of sapping a cold red and white whilst chucking endos. Besides, think of how many huntin trips you could go on in your ...

Classic footage
Nice work Paul. Was that Bruce Peterson and Richard? Looked like one of them a accidently tried a forward near the end there. Awesome to see video footage from this era. I would like to see the Island Farms commercial that Richard did again. I remember seeing that as a kid and getting super inspired.

Oregon dates
I am way up in the air based on several variables. If Nicole isn't going to school, we might both come down. I won't be able to go solo at end of July because I'd be missing Luke's first birthday which probably wouldn't be that cool on the cool factor. We'll have to see how it all plays out. Funny ...
