well that joke didnt go over so well, now ill be like the boy who cried wolf because I have a legit question. speaking of DRAM - has anyone seen this before:



its a '03 board always very well kept, with the pressure screw out at all times except on the water, never stored wet in the bag (for long!). now before you say paint delam i will tell you the bumps are as hard as anywhere on the board- i tried to poke one with a nail and its rock solid. They are just in the one area of the board. i didnt even sail it all winter so these bumps could be from last summer as far as i know. I only spotted them because i was doing a nose repair in the sun.

and no jokes about FreeSex and mysterious warts please well ok maybe just one!

I had a board zipped up in a fairly airtight board bag for a while (couple of months) and it got blisters that looked a lot like those all over. I poked a hole through and found a small amount of water in each one. Must have been a few hundred. I'm pretty sure the board had taken on some water prior to storage but I also wondered about the "gassing off" of epoxy. If I recall epoxy dosen't really stop curing for a long time; maybe never. I wondered if the board just needed to let out some gasses or something. I'm not a composites scientist but maybe we have one. I'm afraid I've been leary of boardbags since. It would be interesting to know if there is water in those blisters. Maybe drill a small hole? Ouch.
