heeey!, your welcome to move out west to covet our sailing spots, but assuming my name may be cause for confusion! :). Then again, maybe if someone compliments your sailing, it might reflect favourably on me...people might get the idea that I'm a decent sailor!

Comox windsurfing - new in town

Hope it's ok to jump in here with this... I'm just new to Comox (two weeks) and I think I've already seen 3+ 25 knot days. I live really close to Cape Lazo/Point Holmes and other than a rock beach, it looks like some pretty open sailing right here. I will have to go check out Alders but was wondering if there's anyone else online here who does live and sail in this area? The spit looks alright, but I'd think it would cast a bit too much of a wind shadow for sailing? I'd prefer to sail outside in the chop and waves but would also prefer to sail when others are out... being a prairie boy I'm thinking this open water might be better tackled with support nearby. Anyway, would love to know more about current sailing spots here and maybe catch up with others in the area.

On the other note... maybe the Water Meter issue here will result in some new opportunities for you... should the politicos go that route.

See you on the water...

Dude - not out there yet but trying my hardest to find a job, then me and the family are moving out. Some promising happenings coming up in my line of work, so hopefully early next year. While not really accustomed to big water sailing, I'll pretty much sail in anything... flat, b&j or waves... its all good.
