It Works! Used it for a little bit on sat at Nitinat, was pretty easy to go upwind with, the only issue is waterstarts (keeping it on your feet prior to the power stroke). I got blow downwind quite a ways trying to get my feet lined up before powering up.
Any tips? (I was thinking maybe some mini power strokes or sheeting the kite in at 12 or something to make a bit more pull so i can push my heels into the board more)

Just send it! Just kidding. No, seriously, try sending the kite further back before your power stroke. The idea is to get up on the board with the kite at close to 12 o'clock instead of 2 or 3. Alternatively, I sometimes pull the bar with my back hand when the kite is stationary at 12 which sends it into a loop and pulls me almost straight up onto the skim or surfboard. Just something to try for you.
You really don't need much pressure on the board with your feet. A bit of practice and you won't even think about it anymore.
