Firstly, thanks for the Kudos, but they are not mine to accept.

I am not sure what you mean by black whale, but all the same, the grass is there for everyone. The lake is there for everyone. If we are calling it inconsiderate to leave sups on the grass, how about the wind surfers that leave all 3 or 4 of their sails there all day and night.

Let me be clear before I hear another rant about how much I hate wind surfers which is clearly not the case. I married one! The comment is about those people who happen to be wind surfers, who happen to leave copious amounts of their gear on the beach- which I do not have a problem with. I just want to be clear that SUPS are not the only gear being left on the beach.

Again, I will come back to the original message. Please leave other people's gear alone. Plain and simple, really.

1. Sorry if I misidentified you as the traffic cone lady.

2. Black whale = large, dark-coloured inflatable SUP. This is called a metaphor.

3. You seem to miss my point. The real issue is limited grassy space by the water being squatted on for days by a piece of unused equipment, irrespective of whether it's a sail, sailboard, SUP or kite. The fact that others warehouse their gear right by the water isn't an excuse for you to do the same. This area is needed for those landing or launching.

Let's all try to be considerate of other sailors and kiters regarding where we leave our gear.

Yes, I did miss your point. There is a ton of beach, room for everyone's gear. I have never seen anyone take their sails, boards, sups off of the beach between uses, ever. Perhaps that is a conversation that needs to be had.

I do agree with you. If it is a busy day with many wind surfers on the lake, then yes, it would be considerate to move your gear off the beach. The reality is though, that you would be hard pressed to find someone who is camping in the back, that would be willing to lug their gear back and forth, to and from the beach between uses. It is a lot to ask of someone.
