Those are the magic words!
As soon as possible! I think I told you the story of seeing a Parks Canada brochure with a picture of 6' faces at Pacific Rim when I was in high school and being AMAZED to realize that such a magical place existed in Canada! I am so looking forward to using this one on the 'real coast'.

That is so funny about the vent plug/mast plug. I did the exact same thing the first time out after buying bwd's rrd a few years back. I was out at pachena beach/Bamfield for the weekend and was freaking out because I couldn't find the vent plug...how could it of come out and then me not be able to find it in the bag. Finally figured it out. :-)
Welcome to the club Dave...and stay off my wave dude! :-)

I have the exact same board. 8'10" HRS AllWave. Good choice.
And I actually phoned Gorge Surf Shop to ask where the vent plug was.

So stoked! Just got a sweet L41 Wave SUP. 7'8" x 30" x 4 3/8", 119 lt. Stepped / chined rail for volume in the middle not at the outside. Split tail allows width to carry to the back, but turny! Carbon tape rails and stringer. Killer carbon hexcel Future Fins. Full deck pad. Awesome color! Woohoo!

Looks like a really fun board! Looking forward to hearing how it surfs. Haven't seen any in action locally yet. What made you choose the Simmons style?

Great another jerk in the line up! Stay out of BWD's way or he'll cut ya. :-)
Additional thought. Does this you mean you will be joining the coast trip Robin? Seems like a great way to break in the new stick!

... Not just a jerk Law, an unusually large jerk (& kook) about to enter the fray! It's all new to me so look out! Don't worry I'll play nice, respect all others, bow to those who surf and own the places, blah, blah, blah.
Just from research looking for a wave sup stumbled across threads about Simmons style boards and the few makers of them. Seemed to make a lot of sense, as we've seen the short wide evolution in windsurfing work so well. Judging from videos I've seen the guys on these boards are killing it from knee highs to overhead.

BWD has been getting increasingly territorial in the lineup lately. Kooks beware.

still don't see how anything of that width is considered "turney" which is the one thing that keeps "turning" me off of SUP-ing. They seem so sluggish, slow on the water in comparison to a fully powered wave windsurfing board or a 5-6' surfboard. My AHD 7'8" Sealion is basically the same shape, deck, width etc. and it windsurfs nicely and catched any wave....but it ain't "turney" even tho it spins on a dime, you aren't gonna slash anything with a width of 75cm. Then I hear the word LINEUP and it pushes me over the edge....
Maybe when I get to be as old as as you guys I will see the light of the wave SUP craze
BTW this new stick of Robin's doesn't seem to have a mast base insert
that could be remedied I guess

Markus has spoken. I'm crushed, who wants to buy my board?
