The Sooke Paper is trying to find one of their journalists to go along in the boat, but likely not able since they all have evening commitments. I said we could give them photos. A nice photo of a group of us rounding the Race Rocks light house would be fantastic.

and I can do a quick briefing about boat pick-up if someone (or all of us) have to be picked up since I do it all the time with the jet ski - and it ain't easy.

Greg, you are on for a ride home.
John Bridal is coming as well.
Maybe we can throw a small bag into the boat with dry clothes for when we arrive at Cook?

I wish my back able to take it, but alas, that is not the case.

Good luck guys, and thanks Luke for organising this (as well as the other events).

Hopefully I'll be able to participate in one of the next ones!

Hey guys, I just found out about this today and would be keen to participate in the downwinder. I need to be in Sooke that night so I can drive people out to Gordons before or after the trip. But will need a ride back to my vehicle wherever it ends up. I can fit 3 or 4 people in my van.

I think we will be racing in front of the fog bank. What time did it come in today? I was in Vic all day.

I'm day tripping it from nanaimo with the family so will meet everyone at the beach. Is there room for an extra board in the boat? A skimboard. Scott
