New Gordon's Beach weather station

Jack and I installed a new weather station on his roof at Gordon's Beach in Sooke today (3 houses up from the main sailing spot where the 2 webcams are). The station gives real time winds (live updates every 15 seconds), found here:

Also a detailed list of weather info is shown here:

The anemometer is on his roof and hopefully it will give semi-accurate wind readings. We all know about the days when it is 25 knots out in the Strait and very light on shore. We'll have to see how it works and we might have to move it around if it's reading too low. I still have to get the wind reading on the Latest Reports page and I plan to add the real time winds to the Columbia Beach weather station too.

Special thanks to Jack for all of his help =D> and to Bosun's Locker for giving me a great deal on the weather station.

Thanks for the comments. As you may have noticed I added the Gordon's Beach weather station reading to the Latest Reports page. If you don't see it listed it's probably because you have to select it using the "Set Table Options" link on the left of the Latest Reports page. It should update every 10 minutes. For faster updates try these links:
