Jimmy Lewis, question for you. Why did we have great winds at IV yesterday, with 20kt at Kelp most of the day, but Discovery, Gonzales, Juan de Fuca etc. nearly flat? I see that central Strait of Georgia was also blowing. Does Haro follow the Strait of Georgia wind pattern in some cases?

Yes you are correct. The E.,N.E.,and S.E. pressure gradient affects our entire area...Look at the env. Canada site (a link is provided under the current conditions grid) to observe.....With the S.E. pattern we nearly always receive less wind strength and of shorter duration than Georgia. I suspect the Juan De Fuca has a negative influence on s.e......Don't forget to read:" the wind came all ways" !!!!
