Hi All,
Does someone know where I can source a piece or two of deck padding foam. I am helping a friend re-do a beater board, and we want to put that cross hatched deck foam on the board. There must be a supplier?

I answered his PM already but here it is again, PADZ factory in Hood River via Windance to purchase/ship. Different densities, patterns, colors, sizes available, prepare to describe to Windance Crew

Hey JJJim,
Did you use the "peel & stick" or contact cement to put down the pads? Peel & stick (if the glue is strong enough) would sure be easy....
Thanks Lots!!~

I'm afraid I used contact cement and tried to do well. It's hard to keep it stuck aroung the rails. I've used a brush, (didn't like the globs) spray, ( not bad but maybe more coats next time) but a guy doing my dad's deck was using a roller, so maybe taped off and rolled would work well. You want an even, thick, dry to touch coat. I'll be doing some soon so let us know how it goes. I think I'm gonna try to roll it.

The cheapest bulk EVA foam I have found is from a custom shoe manufacturer in Vancouver called Labelle supply.

You just need a straight edge and a router to put whatever kind of grooves into it that you like for grip. I build custom boards and footpads and this is where I get my foam. They have different thicknesses and densities. My advice is to go with one of the lighter densities as the heavier ones are way too firm. Use contact cement to adhere. way cheaper than anywhere else.
Thanks Ridelikehell!

Sounds like the right place to get some pads for this repair. Low cost = a good thing. Hey FOLO, this is the third re-incarnation of the fabled 'sea trash'.....

Fish. That SeaTrash needs more than copsmetic surgery! It needs an organ transplant! Getting excited about the 2007 season.
