Translation from Federalese:

Hello Markus,

We wish you had not sent your Message to Environment Canada. Its people like you asking daft questions stops us from getting any real work done. The Kelp Reef weather station would have been fixed by now if I didn't have to keep answering these kind of questions. The weather is nasty right now and our technicians must put their own comfort and safety first, according to union rules. If we can't go out on a boat in mirror calm sunny weather, we don't go. Why should you care, you don't live on Kelp Reef anyway. We will fix it when we feel like it. Please don't write to us anymore.

Yours truly,
Bernard Duguay,

Noted. FYI This site has been down since NOVEMBER!! And it is the major indicator for winter SE winds that may pose a weather threat to Haro Strait waters. I would think this would receive some priority action. I hope the repair happens shortly, thank you for getting back to me.
