Gordon's Beach Lost And Found

On occasion people leave items at Gordon's Beach either in the rigging area beach-access where everyone parks, or at the rivermouth delta of Tugwell Creek where the kites launch.

A very nice French gentleman named Picolo (like the musical instrument)lives at the Tugwell rivermouth. He currently has booties and a harness from the 2008 season.

The two Russian dudes ran apparently into a minor no-wind problem at Gordon's on Friday ......and ditched a complete 7.3 rig, boom, mast and all and left it drifting....if anyone finds it post for Boris (it's his buddy's rig) 8)

Kus, what time of day Friday?
We were out at Gordon's/Tugwell creek late afternoon/early evening Friday and didn't see any w/s'ers, or their abandoned gear.

ROFL...I think we've all looked like that at some point in our learning curve, plus many 'walks of shame' at Nitinat, while learning to waterstart. It's all good.
Just happy that no one videotaped it and posted it on YouTube

hey, guys! It was me who ditched 7.3! I was over a click from Gordons shore when mast tip in the sail ripped. Boris tried to tow it, but couldn't do it on 95 liter sinker. I was on 100 liter and the rig was too big to paddle it to the shoreline, no significant progress and I started to get cold. That's when we had to make the most difficult decision to ditch the rig and paddle the board to shore :( :( :( in hopes of two kiters recovering it, but they couldn't get up wind as the the wind was dying. The rig was that of my buddy Boris, if anyone has any info, please, respond. Much appreciated

By the way it was on Thursday, late afternoon, May 7th, hopefully it washed up to shore and somebody found it.
