Perfect all around board?

Post by SaltSpringKiterPeaceGuy »

Is there a perfect high wind and low wind board?

i like to ride in 10 knots and 30+

I have a 150 Mako narrow and Best Aroona 142.......thinking of selling both and consolidating......less stuff to lug on planes etc.

Am I wrong to think I can have it all it one board?

For your weight I'll be thinking of checking out the new 09 door from spleene.
I am not sure how concave it is, but if it is concave enough it should be good for stronger winds and finally fun to ride in swell or chop. But then again it might be too long for airlines free transportation.

if Mike Dowie (Can. West Coast Flysurfer Rep.) comes to Nitinat he might have some for demo, ask him to try one out (concave only (08?/09-10) as the non concave one is not great for stronger wind!!!)

Would the Mako wide be good for lighter wind? I can’t wait to try any Mako!

hey thanks guys,

just want to trim down.

what's the sense of having two boards when one might do it all, especially when you're travelling. but me, i like to get out in really lite wind and heavier wind too, so maybe there's nothing that will do it all, while now i have 2 great boards that will!

The larger Ouija is said to be really fab. wide enough for a bit of low wind. around 132-134 x 41 wide seems popular
