have you ever had lessons or are you hoping to be self-taught? What kite(s) do you have? Nitinat has 2 great kite schools with certified instructors and chase boats (jet skis). If you are going to go the hard road and be self-taught then Nitinat is a good place to watch and learn, but flailing around and getting dragged in front of everyone with out any support is not the greatest fun. I highly suggest taking lessons.. but either way Nitinat is a good choice. Don't try Cook St. or Gordon's as a kook, but Island View has good potential but it is a bit hard to get the timing for wind there (that's where I learned, and Nitinat).
Good on you for posting here and asking - very wise!
