Is nimpkish worth the trip?

Thinkin of goin to nimpkish at the end of the month.just wonderin if its worth the journey.thanks for any info :D :D

as a kid it used to piss me off that only when the wheather was decent, we would have to wait until 1 or 2 for the fog to lift in port hardy. I stay at my sisters house in port hardy and drive an hour each way to go to nimkish. Its either full on or its not. If there is no chance for a solid high pressure system don't waste your time. Its awesome when its on , just check your weather forcast.

Thanks alot yea ill keep my eyes on the jet stream and all that.if not I might try dungenous spit in portangles really want to kite somewhere new :D see ya on the wind side 8)

\not worth it. very fickle spot, only the best days it will blow more than a few hrs. the rest of the time you are swatting mosquitoes. go see for yourself.

Dungenous, well the entire Port Angeles area was smoking today, got thrown out of my bunk under deck of the Coho....so I went duty free shopping :D take yer noseeum netting for N :lol: still love the place, gonna get good real soon, give it a couple of weeks

Twice this year it has been windy at Nimpkish with overcast skies and no high pressure around. Early June through to late Aug blows harder than Nitwitt. Check Campbell river forecast and if its sunny there the valley will heat up and it blows.
