Hi, everyone:
A group of 4 Parksville kiters is organizing a closed charity kite event, all proceeds going directly Children's Miracle Network
Please note, due to support logistics and safety considerations this can not be an open entry event, number of registered participants has to be strictly limited to a maximum of 6
Time frame: Early April 2013
The event:
Crossing the Strait of Georgia / Salish Sea from Piper's at Nanaimo, to Davis Bay in Sechelt, and then returning to San Pareil in Parksville.
This is in the very early planning stages but already getting a ton of publicity.
The goal: To raise a minimum of $10,000.-
We are looking for anyone able and willing to support this worthy cause with donations in time, cash or kind, no matter how small.
Please like us on Facebook:

to get updates on sponsors, how to donate, and the continuing planning process.

Please send all questions or comments through our facebook page.

Thanks for your support, let's hit this one out of the park!

Cheers
Harold

Great to hear that Global Tv interviewed you guys at San Pariel today regarding your attempt to cross Georgia Strait and back.
I heard that you have already raised $6000 for Children's Hospital for this challenge!!
Plus, Sir Richard Branson has accepted your invitation to become an honorary member of www.kitingforkids.com
Watch it tonight at 11pm on Global TV

Great work you guys!!:)

Looking at the recent posts on Facebook <a href="/https://www.facebook.com/Kitingforkids?ref=ts&fref=ts" target="_blank"> FB Kitingforkids </a> and the website <a href="/http://kitingforkids.com/" target="_blank"> Kiting for Kids </a>shows that the crossing will likely happen later in April.
