RS:X mast base issue

My neighbour gave me a Neil Pryde RS:X that is a little beat up and I want to use it with big gear. Luckily I have a fin for it and a suitable rig. However, it has a europin base on the board and my rig has a US mast base.

Does anyone know how to remove the mast base from the RS:X?

There is a plastic tab in the front, but it is not moving very easily and I don't want to break it.

I will try upload a photo.

Thanks

Stephen

I have the same track on my Prodigy. When you pull the tab up towards the base it releases a retaining clip allowing you to pull it out. Spray some lube on it and wiggle till it loosens up.

Thanks, got it! Now to attach a regular US base to the RSX tendon base!

I ordered from these guys and my stuff arrived at Powell River in 4 days. Basically unheard of in this town.

It's been awhile since I've sailed one, but if it's like the IMCO and I believe it is, there should be a screw at one end of the mast track that a Chinook bolt can screw into.
