Please remember the lake belongs to everyone...

I saw a sign posted on the message board this past week, that addressed the fact that although the wind surfers and kiters launch and land at different ends of the lake, everyone, both wind surfers and kiters can be at either end of the lake when on the water, at any time. There is no wind surfer end of the lake when on the water, nor is there a kiters end of the lake when on the water.

I was witness to more than one wind surfer yelling at a kiter for kiting "in the wind surfers end of the lake." There is no wind surfers end of the lake!

Please remind your friends if they have been mistaken and believe that the lake is somehow divided for anything other than launching and landing, they are simply wrong.

That said, if your friends are launching from the wind surfers section, remind them and direct them down the lake. Fair is fair.

Raven, U need to go back thru the forum posts for a few years. This subject has been done, over and over and over.
Have a read and maybe you will get the global idea of separation
Many areas in the world have segregation.

Oh ya, don't piss off Kus

Yes. I was aware that the subject has been visited before.
It seems some people need a friendly reminder that the
Liters and wind surfers have the right to
Be anywhere on the lake.

Thank you. I appreciate your warning. I don't pay attention to bullies.
They usually are seeking attention to feel important.
It doesn't change the purpose of my innocent posts.

Tough shit

50 years ago today, Martin Luther King gave his famous speech.
I too have a dream.
I dream of a lake that is joined in the harmonious persuit of wind
and not weighed down by the chains of segregation.
We must unite and cash in our federal govt cheques for equality
in space and wind for all.
Ramen.

The Raven. There is a context. On at least one occasion, the person yelling was the guy who was hit by the jumping Kiter in this thread:

http://bigwavedave.ca/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6740

People were pissed at the Kiter who was inconsiderate. The yelling was to remind him that that cove is a bad place for jumping.

I am sure if a kiter hit someone, then yes, that person has every right to give them a piece of their mind. I actually was referring to the wind surfers that were yelling because they didn't want kiters on that side of the lake, period.

My point of mentioning it was to bring up the fact that in that case, the wind surfer was out of touch to think that they have any rule over who plays where on the lake. No one likes to be yelled at, especially over something that is incorrect.

The post was never about wind surfers vs kiters. To all of you trying to make it about that... why would you want to create tension between the two athletes? I find that really sad.

And you spoke to the badly momma dressed windsurfer to confirm that they yell because they don't want kiters on some particular side of the lake?

Excuse, me but I heard more than one interaction, of the sort. What is your point?

You know it might be a mistranslation. Someone might be gesturing that the kiter in question is "number one" , but you know those stupid windsurfers, I bet they are using the wrong figure
