The major upside of the recent lack of wind are the water temps. 13.9 C measured at Charleston right now. When I went down to SC Gold beach was getting it's first NW winds of the season and for those two days at the cape you literally could have gotten by with a shorty. After a few days of NW wind and upwelling... not so much.

I was staying at the Beachcomber that day and got a few shots of them ripping it up.

Heading out on the 7:30pm Coho on Friday. BWD also.

Not totally sure where I'm headed. But, likely it'll be Flo for some SUPing on Saturday, then to GB for Sunday.

I think we will probably head coast ward tomorrow eve. Maybe seaside to surf the cove.

Fishes on the 7:30pm Coho Friday too!
Super exhausted - been working really long hours to get everything ready at work so I can leave. I will be relieved to finally get on the road.

There's no ho like the Coho. I'll be on the 7:30pm Friday, bound for the Southern Oregon coast with a shopping pitstop in Hood River to replace some of my aging fleet. Looking forward to sailing and the odd ale with the BWD crew.

Looks like I'll be 4 hours ahead of everyone. On the 3pm today. I think I'll try and make it to Eugene tonight.

Maybe have a look at Florence for a SUP session and then head South to Gold Beach for Sunday.

:)

Don't worry Seakelp, you'll eventually be able to carry your windsurfing gear into the water at the Hatch all by yourself! Keep practicing!

Cloudy in hood today, forecasts say it might blow 21 way east so the ticket might be to head coastward for two days of waves. Potential BWD crew diaspora for a day then reconvene on the coast.

 he was slayin' it on his 10mPark, nice kite, good action....I think the other Naish pro I launched wasn't too impressed with me when I chucked his kite from the rocks and it powered up....but hey, he said "just throw it..." so I did  I figured he could take it 8)
Fun day. Marathon out there doing his thing too, arrived in the Naish Bus, good perks ;)

Tick tock on the birthing event Wdoc, good luck to you both.....get that video camera and the Gravol lined up  Ur not missing much down here, Gorge has been pretty mediocre, current is nuts and lots of chop, barges take 30secs to 1min to impact once you see 'em, crazy

BTW: the Hook area has some construction and they have removed the gates. The "sweeper" comes through around 10pm and doesn't return, we have been hanging, BBQ-ing etc. in the Marina, get kicked out there, then Hook it. Relatively quiet
