| Details | Got there around 4 and watched CB's kite fall out of the sky and the paragliders landing, I figured I missed my chance. Waited around till j_dog showed up and was convinced by him that the wind was stronger than the sea state implied. Pumped up to improving wind and was the wind guinea pig. It turned out that indeed it was very good wind and most certainly enough for my 12m and surfboard setup. In fact, I had depower on for most of my session. Early in the session I messed up a foot change and ended up quite downwind of my board. It took a long time to drag back to it and drained some of my energy. I hate that. The rest of the session was really good. It was cool to watch j_dog on the foil clearing the kelp beds for me. Also fun to ride past Cook St. and holler at Adrian to get on the water. The sunset was fabulous and I thought it was cool that I was on the water at 6:03 pm, the precise time of the autumnal equinox. A+ [from Sailing Log on Thursday September 22, 2022] |
