Thanks to Greg for noticing Willows fill in. I had committed to vacuuming for the afternoon. But, Bobson was spotted by an OG surveillance team member. I got there with GMan and Paul and got ready to go out with the 5m. Luckily, Paul said 6m was a better choice. Hard to get off the beach with the onshore wind. Slogged sideways until I found gusts to lift. Greg came in a bit later. Had some luck going back to CP from MTI. I tried to get to Bob, but it was too much slogging. Got a few laps in and failed way m ... (more)
Went to Willows to check it out but on the shore it was light and looked better out a ways so headed to Cattle Point and there was better wind there, still light but figured the 7.0m Sailworks Flyer (aka Session Saver) would work. Well, it did. Pretty much up foiling right away but would have been happier on the 6.0m as there was lots to get up on the foil but once up the 7.0m is a bit of work compared to the 6.0m Flyer. Pretty much rained the whole session, fairly hard at times. Went and said HI to a coupl ... (more)
I looked up and down the Island on the webcams and nobody was windsurfing/kiting/winging. After two good late-season days in a row at Piper's I decided to find out how little wind I could foil with using the 7 m2. The answer for me was about 10 to 12 knots (Entrance report) allowed foiling from the beach past the lull to the boats fishing outside. Coming back was more difficult but mostly because my starboard tack isn't as reliable. (my first day bothering to pump and my third day on foil in both directions ... (more)
Early start, arrived to a silver sea, the old pine humming 20 kts, Hank rigging a small WS Sail. Nice!! Highrocker, MtnarG joined in the early shift. The 4m was the tool of choice for the day. Wind and swell filled in the bay, perfect for tack practice. More wings and fins in the afternoon. Still blowing 16 kts by days end. Good vibe!

A good morning session at Locarno. Second day in a row for sun and wind, after Friday's afternoon session. Launch 930 and just enough to beat upwind , but stalled in the upwind pursuit after the first hour. A little shifty and gusty today, compared to the steady wind Friday. Big weekend turn out!

Stunning way to end September with Pipers pumping over 20kts the whole session. Forecast for poor winds in Victoria for the near future made it a must-do drive to Nanaimo to play wing games with Mtnarg, Idefix, Sam, and Bart. I went out past Hudson a few times but I was still intimidated by the big swells. So I played inside and practiced gybes in the swelly bits in the bay. Being on the Cab4m was like being at wingfoil Disneyland. All your gybe dreams come true. MtnarG was hitting his gybes on both his 5m ... (more)

Beautiful sunny and windy day. Blowing 20 knots when I arrived at 10:30am. It blew all day, but filled in on the inside after noon. Shared the water with Idefix and HighRocker and a bunch more. Really good turnout. Mostly wings and a couple of sails.
Short session in W 15 at Spanish Banks on 12m+surfboard. Couldn't keep up (wind) with Slappy also on 12m+surfboard. Missed the morning wind due to family commitments

Felt like 2 steps back today. After my breakthrough with my tacks the other day, it was like I forgot everything. Still had fun blasting around the flat water, was a little under gunned with the 3.5 though. I think I'm enjoying the new DD 5m more, something about the new design, maybe it's the handles.

Epic wing foil fun! Big turn out for more wind than expected. Rigged the 6m but rigged down after 10mins. All good on the 5m up to some swell at dog beach.

Really nice day at Ross Bay. Good turnout for Thursday afternoon. Started with light wind. Changed foil when the wind picked up, but I was too lazy to pump another wing, so stayed with the 8m

To be able to get out on the water a little earlier before things died down was a gift. Beautiful conditions. Sunny. Calm inside the bay but surprisingly easy to get up and running. Some dips here and there, but generally steady and strong for a 5 m. The new Omen is rad, end stop. Looking forward to less seaweed. Definitely got tangled up a few times.
Got a promising OSR from Highrocker and made the trip to the Goon. Arrived to a pleasant 15 knts cross-on, Mike and H-Rock sailing the horizon. Adequately powered on the 5m for a nice cruise in the bay.

Surprise wind treat! Beautiful, sunny, warm wind, big turnout - must have been a lot of mental health time off in the air. Had an easy peasy session, just great!!
Knocked off work early because it looked so good. It was properly windy and surprisingly warm wind too. Glad to see Simon and to give him a launch. I self launched and felt pretty lit on the 12m but it was definitely the best choice. It was the maiden sailing, at Clover, for my new Duke Gen 3 and it was a fabulous ride for the day. I had lots of smooth rides on the back side of the incoming swells and I saw a good few wave faces to turn on too. Came in after a great session and met Dr Chris and sold h ... (more)

Stoked to get 3 wing sessions in 5 days during doldrum season. Pretty juiced on 5.0, could have been on 4 but wind eased so glad I didn't rig down. Really digging the 1099 with skinny tail. Incredible glide. Getting better at tighter turns on it but it's no Spitfire.

Sunny warm windy afternoon and i said F-it to work and got cheers from (some) employees ;) Great turnout, nice to see Bobson after missing him since about July, his Waaahoooos!! when jibing around fallen wingers got the beach's attention ;) Took Sam's advise and moved the mast back in the track and took out the shim. I'd done the former before, with less good results so that tiny bit of plastic shim makes a huge difference. Much more in control while just sailing along, most of my falls were from hitting ... Marvelous session at the Goon today with Mike and Idefix. Steady winds with flat water and NO KELP! All my crashes were caused only by my own ineptitude. But, it was sweet foiling out to the anchored transport ships, then Royal Bay, then out towards Fort Rodd Hill. So nice! Likely the best conditions i've foiled at the goon.
Unexpected session! Arrived to a surprising amount of wings out for a Thursday at 2:30pm. Went out on the Omen 60L again, wind was a little light on the inside making getting going on the sinker a little difficult. Noticed my OR 5m was losing air slowly from the valve not seating properly, so went in to reset it and Lancer talked me into taking his 5m Stinger. Was surprised at how much I liked it - lots of power, and I liked the hard handles. Thanks Lance! Would recommend these if looking for a well priced ... (more)
Arrived at 1:30pm and on the water by 2pm. A couple Wings out when I arrived, Windoc, backwards GrantM and The Junkman just rigging up. The 5.2m was a great call for the whole session. There were some meium sized swells coming though so I ripped through them to get to the flatness outside with some good down wind speed runs while out there. On the way back in played in the waves with everyone else. Lots of Doods out for a Thursday afternoon. GUStastic, TunaCan, BW, Twizz, Windoc, MtnarG, NonicknamePaul, ULR ... (more)

1425 - 1000 - 725 swapperoo session. Took many bizarre falls with 2 taco-over the bars turns and kelp trips. Did some speed runs on the 725/235 but super pitchy and sketchy feeling on the 795 mast; just not a lot of mast height to play with at speed. Warm and sunny session after a tough morning. Hydrotherapy session.

Spectacular! Steady wind off Clover that slowly built. Hadn't been on the 1099 since I got the Spitfire in July. Blown away by the glide and how small a bump can be ridden. Will be my downwinder setup one day.

Slogged around for about an hour and was just about to pack it in when it filled in. Glad I stuck it out! Some nice wave rides and a break through moment with my heal side tacks!
No fighting the low tide, so headed out on the twin tip and 10m around 10am. Didn't need much power in the flat water, and it was enough for 1/2hr before Alton came out and it started to fade. Wind line further out, but it just kept getting further away. Waited until 1130 before admitting defeat.
Yardwork & it started cranking up 18g23. Didn't think it would hold but it kept coming so off we went. Pretty good wind for first 30, juiced on 5.3/94 kit, petered but waves /wind outside. Then it lightened up again as Alex got out. Bummer!
Still fun but inside waves better in am. Waited but no comeback.
