Details | Well, 149 sessions this year and 1 short of my goal. I should have just gone out yesterday. ha! oh well. 149 is still reasonable. Arrived today at home break of RBFC to The Twizzler rigged up and headed out in 6-12kts. Fist pumped him and he took off on his medium foil. I got a text from Mr. B that my sail was repaired so being less than 5 mins away I went and picked it up. Thanks Mr. B!! Back at RB, Twizz was playing in the waves off C-lover point and I rigged up my 6.0m Flyer and headed out. Schlogged out to the wind and then it was off and on for an hour with Marky-Mark-andthefunkybunch and The Junkman who were both working hard to stay flying. AJ also joined in the pumping fun. it picked up a bit 10-13kts so easier to 'keep it up'. I came in and drank some coffee and took my viagra to ensure I stayed foiling as I've heard it helps to keep it up. HA! Enjoyed another 30 mins and then it lightened up again so all came in to call an RBFC meeting to discuss World issues, Wind, Wangs and Foil Size. Meeting adjourned, Twizz and Junky left and Danno showed up so he, AJ and myself headed back out as it picked up to 12-18kts. I was overpowered on my 6.0m but was too lazy to come in and rig down. Put in another 30 mins trying to avoid sticks, kelp, big logs and the odd brown lumps left over from last week. I decided too much junk in the water so came in before a fall happened..ha! Danno came in to put on a smaller front foil and BWD, Highrock, Mr. N+S, Greg all showed up and took over the 2nd shift. I fist pumped them all and packed up my stuff and came home for a few Corona's, hot shower and to cry just a bit for not getting to 150 sessions. oh well, maybe next year. Really great session 149 today though with smiling faces and tired arms with lotsa pumping required. Some things I'm thankful for from 2022 are foiling with friends, camping and foiling at China Creek and Nitinaht, attending RBFC meetings and drinking Cold Corona's on the beach post session. In 2023 I will get a duck gybe, a downwind 360 and getting over 50 km/h and more than 150 sessions. 15 foiling session in December, that is a new record. I'm looking forward to what 2023 will bring.
