| Details | I gave Esq Lagoon a try on my friend Mike's recommendation and was rewarded with a fantastic day! I thought I'd do my usual big wing day but the building winds convinced me to go 5mX3. Great choice, closer to shore. Well overpowered 1km out in +20kt winds. Did a few fun runs before the high winds got me to switch to 4mX3. Another fine choice within 100m of shore or 1000m out. In between was this weird zone of holes, short gusts and inconsistent wind supply. Great alternative when the kelp forest takes over RB. Nil kelp noted. Lots of crab traps, but well marked, well spaced, and easily avoided. Thanks for getting me out there, Mike! Sadly, my GPS watch is only capturing part of my mileage. Meh!
