Surface high pressure over the area waters this evening for benign conditions. A front will then cross over the waters on Thursday morning for increasing southerlies. A Gale Warning has been issued over the coastal waters for frequent gale strength gusts. Small craft advisories may be needed for a westerly push down the Strait Thursday evening. High pressure will rebuild over the waters through the weekend for calmer conditions. Coastal seas 5 to 7 feet building back up to around 9 to 11 feet into Friday.
