Pat Bay Local

Im out in Deep Cove and kite pat bay every now and again. It's not the best spot for sure. Wind on a westerly is ok ish but it can be a bit gusty. Add that to a very small launch at mid to high tide, very close power lines and a huge beach bubble down by the big fir trees along W Saanich. Oh yeah ...

Right of way

Hey Tony, The way i read it you were on a port tack (traveling left on you heel edge) so right of way was his/hers. That being said, avoiding a collision is every ones job. Most somewhat experienced kiters know to look for the sure signs of helmet/GoJoe/ass out stance as an indication to stay the ...

tBrown, Up till now its been light on crowds 10-15 kites on week days. 20+ on weekends. From now till september that can be triple. Having said that, it's a big lake. If you can get upwind well you can get out of traffic pretty quick. See Kus' post about the road conditions http://bigwavedave.ca ...

EMT is a Helicopter ride if you did a really good job or a very uncomfortable (i know from experience) 1.5hr car ride to the hospital in Duncan. So Bring your med kit. Having said that there are 3-4 doctors that are regularly kiting there so you might get lucky and at least get some of the good ...

A) the going rate is 15 per night in the back part or 17 on or by the beach. That being said collections have been pretty sporadic as per usual. TP replacement has also been pretty iffy. B)nope pretty normal but if you forgot something it's an hour (at least) drive on the logging road to buy it. C ...

You would need to be boosting around 200' to interfere with the glide-path. There are some good kiters around but in the 20kt wind yesterday i dont think Ruben Lenten would pull that off...Mind you in a fight with the Victoria Airport Authority i'm pretty sure the kite community would lose. The ...

Found: 09 Best bar and lines

Found it up at Nitnat on Tuesday. It was tangled up in the grass and looked like it might have been floating around for a while.

I'm in Sidney, PM me if it's yours.
