Light wind wingfoiling

So, what is the current thinking about the fun factor of foiling in light wind? For me, is it competitive for low wind with kiting, kite foiling, and wind foiling ? Hey FOLO, I got the massive 2400cm front foil from Armstrong. I want easy learning and light wind capabilities for winging. Most tried ...

Re: Fuselage lengths

60cm for both. 70cm will be more stable but less pumping ability. It would be nice to have both fuses, but 60 will be what you'll want eventually. Thanks Chris....confirming what I had read. I may start with 70cm for learning winging, then go 60cm. OK back to your the regularly scheduled windsurf ...

Fuselage lengths

Probably in the wrong thread.....

My AFS-85 windsurf fuselage is ~90cm

What are people running for fuselage length for Winging....60-70cm?

If you want to Wing foil and SUP surf foil in small mushy waves on the 115L Quatro Drifter....go 60 or 70cm fuselage?

Foil combo boards

Hey, Wondering.... I was originally hoping to get one board that could do windsurf foiling and wing foiling...with one interchangeable foil system (double track not tuttle). Tuttle is dumb as you are stuck where the foil goes? But I don't think that is possible? One thing I am noticing....is that ...

Windsurf foiling

Hey Bobson, I'm hoping to sail again after a 4 year hiatus. Funny how you can do something every year and then you get busy with other stuff. I'm gonna be pretty rusty at sailing I figure (but I'm a much better mtn biker and waterskier now). So time to get back into windsports. I'm foregoing high ...

Wing Recommendations/Reviews

Hey, Figure this merits its own thread, as a thread specifically about thoughts on different Wings from different manufacturers, in different sizes. I'm officially getting Wing Foiling. Have just bought a 5'8" Quatro Drifter (115L), which should be here in June. I'm likely going with an Armstrong ...

More wingfoiling research

Hey Keith, get into winging. I've got the Armstrong 6'6" (100kg wet) and 3.5 m and 4.5 m A-Wings so thought I'd chime in. I wanted a big stable board that could be used for winging/SUP foil. The 6'6" is strong and light. The carbon is high quality and the bottom and rails are extremely ding ...

Gear

I just sold off all of my really big ( traditional ) gear. Hadn't used that in about three years or so. Just have two wave boards and several small windsurfing sails left in my basement, and I will keep that gear and keep sailing it. I am watching and lurking. All foiling looks like fun, just the ...

Wing foiling gear questions

Ok....just read both Wing Foil forum discussions. A couple of questions. Looking to potentially get into Wing Foiling....really only if it makes sense for a watersport in the lighter wind areas where I hang out in summers....eg we stay on waterfront at Hornby Island most of July and Kootenay Lake ...

Wingfoiling

The size of the inflatable boards makes wing foiling quite amenable to travel. In case anyone is looking, its not obvious yet on the GONG website how to find these boards (at least to me). https://www.gong-galaxy.com/en/product/gong-sup-inflatable-hipe/ I need something to keep me going amongst the ...

Wing foil Questions

Hi, Finally looking to get back into wind sports after a 4 year hiatus. I kept a 96L Fanatic Tri fin for regular windsurfing with 4.2, 4,8, 5.3, 6.0M sails, and a Fanatic Blast 145L foil board (and AFS foil) for windsurf foiling. Looks like we're not back teaching in-person until January 2021 ...

Foiling

Grantmac and others (who have one): I am curious to hear about your experiences with the Infinity 76 compared to the H2 wing. I have the H2 dialed - up and downwind, swell surfing etc., but am still having trouble trying to foil through a gybe. I hear it is easier on the Infinity. Any feedback ...

Foiling

Hey Dallas, Nice to see you are foiling! Haha My quiver down to just a Fanatic Foil board with a carbon AFS 85cm Foil and my 96L Fanatic Freewave windsurfing tri-fin. Way less stress just packing two boards! Taking my foil set up to Hornby next week. Wouldn’t usually even get to sail there in summer, ...
