Wind Formula for mid-island inlets, any comments?

So I've been trying to figure out the factors that affect the wind here in Port Alberni. Historically, people have used the temp difference formula (Tofino-PA). Seems to me that the temps in Bamfield or Ucluelet would be more appropriate as they're closer to the mouth of the inlet. It appears that Ucluelet is usually a bit warmer than Tofino. Any thoughts?
