Forecast was unsure about wind today but it cranked at the Hatchery all day. Got there at 11am and no parking spots left. Water was full of windsurfers finishing off dawn patrol. By noon wingers started to take over and the bulk of the windsurfers headed for lunch. After lunch the people on the water increased again. My first 20 mins was on the 3.5. Switched to 2m for the rest of the session. Swells were good but not glass factory good.

Close. NW was pumping offshore all day long and tried to come onshore during the afternoon, but felt like a heat bubble stopped it from happening. Alex and I both tried and some waves were had, but the wind was so light I was thankful the waves were as gentle as they were on the slack low of 1.6 m and spared us any serious consequences. A repeat of the day before but I had more fun. Super smooth and steep waves at the point with very light wind at times and only 3 of us. Turning the DW board a bit more but can't wait for a short board session. The wind increased later and more people showed. Hey Poper, I think it's whoever yells starboard first gets the right of way.

Quick session without a harness to try out the broken ribs. Not ideal but it was great to get out before the heat comes to kill the wind for a bit.
Super light wind -- could barely waterstart. Always a challenge to keep foiling. Seemed to fill in a bit more when I was heading home.

I could only get out for the late shift and lucky for me, the winds were likely the best of the day. Lots of gorgeous swells to ride and lots of wind to power me when I lost the swell. Fun to be out with GMan, Poper, Paul, and the many elite riders. Slaloming up through the swells was almost as fun as the downwind flagged out runs. I tried to follow The Pope, but he had unholy speed. Followed Gman and captured a nearly complete foiling jibe. No tracks - GPS failed. Wow, 100th session!

A bit of a mixed bag session. Started underpowered on my 5.5m and struggled to get on foil in the bigger waves off Clover. The wind then picked up and it became much more fun. Some good passes with Highrocker, Winddoc, and RuppDogg. BWD called "starboard" on me when he was actually on port so I flew my protest flag and now waiting to hear back from the race committee. Multiple drag races with Corked -- good fun!

Down-the-line. All the wind validators were in place early ' clearing sky, fog bank on the horizon, wind rotating from onshore to sideshore. Fun sized waves on an ebbing tide of about 2.2 m to 1.7 m, so decided to get on it early before it got too dumpy. Wind was side-off, but too light catch waves at first. Uh oh a gale warning. It started off maybe 10-14 and I was pushing the limits of the 3.5 with lots of cardio and swearing. Nice waves off the point. The wind gradually increased and then the 3.5 and DW was the right choice. Not loving the DW for turning but it's obviously user error since Shaggy turns his like a short board.

Arrived at site with the right board this time and the wind just raging over the lake. Rigged the 5.0 at first but proved to be way over powered. 4.2 ended up to be the right choice for most of the day, paired with the 99L.The wind was so strong there were points I would launch off swell and be airborne for a split second(unintentionally) woah!!! Long to organize gear & attire so incl lunch I missed the strong winds by 2.5 hours. Siled from 2pm to almost 4:30 then again after dinner for 20 mins. Nice su??ny day with many people enjoying
One hand foiler made it out on time and told me he sailed up to Neck Pt

Didn't have much time so did a quick session out of Cattle Pt. Fun session racing around the flat water although if you went out far enough there was actually some swell coming in from the straight. Enough to turn onto and get a bit of a ride.

Classic Gorge! Finally used my 3m Glide and without pumping ! Wishing for a 950 foil as a few holes in the swell would suddenly open up in front and I would fall into them. More weeds than I remember. Not as many Canadians as before. Happy Canada Day!

I was unpacking from a long weekend at CC when chat announced that Danno was rippin' it at RB. So, I stopped unpacking and repacked my wind gear and headed down for a bonus unexpected session. Initially pretty light, some hated pumping got me up on foil through some of the most disjointed, turbulent surf that I've seen. Well powered, with good swells and occasional holes. Great crew out there and you could feel the swell holiday stoke.Ya gotta' love Canada!
