It was light, I barely got going on the Ross Bay side and made a sprint to Cook St. Unfortunately the wind shut off about 30mins into the session and luckily the Cloud Kite stayed in the air and I was able to body drag back to shore. Note to self, anything less then 14 kts it is better to use the larger PFI 633 Foil.

Great summery conditions with very fickle winds. Early session was pretty good, but inconsistent. Lots of holes to pump through both in and out of the bay. Fun sharing the mild swells with Idefix, Poper, DocMark, ULR, Tuna, JohnL, Gus, and many others. A few of my runs were slalom heavy as I tried to miss the loose kelp. Late session was very light and didn't last long. The morning's MTB session started to catch up with me so I went home to supper and nap. Fun!

Recovery session before heading home. Wind was up and down. Went out with big board, 4m, and HS1850, which gets on foil so easily. Worked on transitions and a bit on back wind sailing, but couldn't hold a course for too long. Lots of porpoising when the wind dropped.

Milestone day for me today. After 3 seasons and 72 sessions (I added up my personal stats) I foiled through a gybe today. Outside, got comfortable speed on a broad reach, started toe pressure and made sure I stayed balanced as I switched hands. Enough wind to keep foiling toe side for about 15 or 20 seconds then a lull and came off foil and jumped my feet around before foiling back to the beach. First dry out and back for forever. Unclear conditions but worth going out. Ended up getting stranded twice but I also enjoyed two solid full foil sessions where conditions picked up and I was able to push my limits on grabbing onto any puff I could find to turn into my next tack. Good learning session. The paddle back to shore...it's a workout.

Pretty variable wind. Out on the 8m and foil to start but it died after about 30min. Pumped up a 10m and the wind came back. After 30 min or so it was almost too strong so went and grabbed a twin tip but it dropped off again so called it.

Caught the 3 to 4 shift. Forgot to turn on gps until halfway thru. Broke out the superlight wind gear, trusty old PNG1150, biggest stab 425, and the 128 Indiana board. Never creases to amaze me in how light a wind I can fly, and how slow I can keep flying on the 1150. Was even able to catch some runs flagged out on teeny slow slow bumps.

Woke up at 8am to wind. Got up, had coffee and egg breaky sangy and rigged up. On the water at 11am and it was up and down all day. No one on the water when I was so had the place to myself, Crazy!! 1 kiter on a 14.5m named Brad went out for 30 mins when I stopped for lunch. Got to wheel the Alpha 240 down Peters Lane with my kayak trolley and launch out at the head of the Bay. Fun cruising for about an hour racing sailboats over to Patty's milestone and back. Wind jacked up nicely and was able to get the large barge planing a bunch. Special session in the back yard paradise.

Got on the water at 4:30, looked like another repeat of yesterday with peeps floating and not much winging. Had about 1/2hr of flying, watched everyone dwindle and go to the beach, saw Shaggy make it in on the fly mostly but got greedy, went for one more reach, came off the foil on the turn and never got going again. Sat for a while out off downwind of the point, then made the looong paddle back in. Nothing like matching your fly time with a post session swim back to shore!

There wasn't much to talk about, but I got lucky and was able to squeeze 30 minutes of wind out of a flat afternoon at RB. Got stuck out there for a while, waited for the wind to pick up and then back up again. In the end, a very long swim in :)

I used the bigger board at the start of the day and went way upwind through a hundred? fishing boats. I think there must have been an event, else it is one heck of a morning fishing spot. Saw Bobson around noon and just stayed on the big board for the rest of the day...that just kept on going.

Arrived to wind of 15kts at Noon at China Creek. Set up camp and said Hi to Slaker! Got on the water at 1:30pm and got in 80kms in mostly flat water. Some fun speed runs. The Slake did 200+ kms today making me look like a wimp. He is really dialed in on his wing! I'm hoping to get a full day of Winging in tomorrow. Still blowing as I go to bed at 10pm.

Story of my life lately is "Too busy to sail." Things finally lined up for me to get on the water. Of course the wind backed off as soon as I got out there. Sailed for a half hour and managed a few planing runs. Only windy next to the beach and nothing out in the strait. Decided to call it or at least take a break. Arrived at Clover and waited around for a bit, Brett rocked up and after a quick chat the wind came up. Rigged the 10m Ultra and head out. A decent session and was overpowered for most of it, but the PTM 730 foil was able to hold the power pretty good. Tons of Kelp around.

First on the water at 6 am. More wind than expected during the first hour, then a 10 minute lull and it came back for the second half only a little less strong. Easy high tide launch, some weed trouble close in. First time with the carbon handles on the 6m, liking it!
