Risked taking the day off work and it paid off bigtime. It Absolutely nuked and I was kicking my self for not bringing the 99L. Got some unintentional airtime when it really cranked and the swell picked up. 4.2 felt way to big still. Lesson learned today: always bring 2 boards lol. Lots of friendly faces and windsurfers on the water. Hopefully back before camping with the fam early July.

First experience at China Creek. It was nice, and campground has cell service, warm showers, flush toilets, and paved all the way. Was windy enough for smaller board but stayed out a wee bit too long and ended up down near the logs north of the beach. Had to prone paddle back, which was a nice workout to end the session.

Looked like it might be starting to blow so went for a look. Arrived to a few peeps floating but couldn't resist and thought I'd join them to test out the new Gong Neutra Team Edition 5.5m wing. Caught a puff and managed about 4 reaches and then it totally died. Sat floating off Clover in hopes it would come back and after about 10 minutes it was enough to go again. Great session. In the beginning, the 7m would have been a better choice, but it did waken in the evening. At times gusty. Improving my tow side kiting, to port going well, still weak going to starboard. Had some great carving turns. We will see what tomorrow brings, maybe another epic day.

Launched, foiled for a minute or so, and then the wind completely died. Bobbed for 15 min, then the wind came back, foiled for 5 min, then it died again and I paddled in. I had 6pm dinner so I had to go -- as I was packing up the wind seemed to be improving. Hopefully just a warm up for tomorrow.

The early shift were pretty well all slogging back in when I got there. I still geared up just in case the wind returned, and it did! I got nearly an hour of play in the small swell. I got kelped a couple of times and foliage is noticeably more abundant. Fun trying to follow Idefix and GregCan. ULR was killing it on his neon green, high tech wing. The reason why the wind shut down early, in my opinion, the temperature gradient was not as big as forecasted.

Epic day in Squamish! Launch at 130 and after an hour was overpowered on the 5m. Quick downsize to the 4m and plenty of power. Tried the boom for the first time. A little tweeking required, but better control than the soft handles during transitions. Big crew of dozens.

Nice evening session. Used the 13m because I was concerned that the wind would die, however it kept blowing. The 13m worked just fine. Went up wind to that bay and I think I did see the stump up there.
Spent a bit of time practicing my tow side riding. Going to port side went very well, not so good on my starboard side. Time to take the surfboard out.

Got on the water about 4ish, first run scored a clover to harling set that i was able to ride flagged the entire distance with no wing assist! That set the tone for the session and it was sweet! Sun, fun, swells, and a good crowd. Welcome back to WindJunky after his prolonged outfall dysentery experience, sounded really shitty :)

Groundhog Day, in a good way. Fantastic conditions at the Bay again. Started with my 6m with the lower strength winds. Built up in strength and became gusty. Minimal kelp, yet I still managed to get taken down a couple of times. Took a brew break with Idefix and switched to 5m for the stronger winds. Great fun trying to chase Idefix and GregCan in the swells. Still lots to learn in how to play in the swells. Very summery. Sadly, my lack of attention ended up in a couple nice rips in my 5m. My bad.

Another fantastic Ross Bay day. Started on the DW board and 4.0 then switched to the 3.0. Gusty with some good swells, and not much kelp! Riding without boots is a game changer way more control, and the ability to make (micro) foot adjustments. Thinking about trying footstraps again. Grateful for the bay.
