Great timing with the favourable tide and wind. Launch 1215 into solid wind. Salome through the weeds and stay out past the 1km marker to avoid the rest. Only had to clear my foil twice. Sun gave way to clouds and the wind backed after a little more than two hours.

Arrived to 10-13kts but saying 13-16kts on the latest reports so I was cautious and rigged bigger with the 7.0m Sailworks Flyer 'Session Saver'. It worked well today although could have been on my 5.2m for 90% of the time but glad I grabbed the big gun so I was able to keep it up. HA! A rain squall came though for 10 mins which made it gusty but after it left steady 10-16kts with sunshine and warm water. Just a quick hour session. Went with 6m based on lighter winds and reports form foilers coming off the water. The winds soon increased and I was occasionally OP'd. I prefer that anyways and it made for a fun carve and swell session with Danno, Matt, Alain, Greg, and the elite riders. So many flyers of all types. My last forays into CLover found me surrounded by kiters. I felt very inadequate. Fantastic warm day on the water and RB felt very much like a wind sport destination spot in my backyard.

Late afternoon after work. Lovely steady wind for the first 45 then it got lighter then nearly disappeared. One good flagged out ride. Splatted every single gybe but mostly pointed in the new direction and a few with swell assist got the wing around and some seconds of toe side riding on the new tack. So very slow progress. Seems we showed up for the low point in the evening. Soon after hitting the water the wind dropped and I struggled to hold my ground. Thankfully, it picked up for the end of my session and I could do a little more than mow the lawn. The swell was great and had me wishing I brought a surfboard. Went out with nominal wind conditions. Wierd swell/tide thing going on. Slow leak in bladder so went in to fix and returned to even less wind. Took my old Duke out for a spin and was reminded that it is a very good kitesurf board for the conditions at Clover. Somewhat heavier and slower turning than my new one, the weight helps it push through chop without transferring a lot of kinetic energy into my legs. It is heavy and rides smoothly because of it. Started out pretty light, made my way up to the point and had some good runs with Danno .. some decent swell from the SW wind, a little kelpy though, had a few smack downs. Started 4m and 680 on small board. Super steady wind and some fun little ramps. Made myself try a few raleys after not doing them since last season. Mixed results. Wind backed off a bit, so took DW board out and swell improved into a light wind wave park! Really great session. Tunacan looked happy with his BWD cast-off board.

Beautiful afternoon foil. SSW so was able to foil almost to McNeil Bay and then back to Brotchie. Wind was a bit up and down. Almost got caught in Ross Bay in a serious lull so beat it back to the west side of Clover. Lots of debris in the water. Crowd building as I left.

Beautiful sunset session. I probably should have used my larger foil but it was still a fun session on the 6.2m cloud. Managed to hit a few kelp that resulted in a few face plants. Overall a nice chilled out and relaxing session on the foil, what a difference from yesterdays 35kt-er!

Arrived to 10-14kts inside and a bit more outside, more waves than wind. Never got above 15kts but fairly solid wind and waves building throughout my short session. I started out following Dr. Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch out but also followed him back in as I left the foil cover on my stabilizer as I was pumping like a crazy-man but not foiling. UGH! Green screen on Model2 with 19kts at Entrance Island. Good enough for a sunny drive to Pipers. Fun swell just outside of Clark Rk nicely powered on 5.0/1000cm for the morning. Finished the day on 6.2/1000.

Well, sometimes it's a fine line between a fun little activity, and should have stayed on the couch.
Got up to strong NW in the straight- but couldn't decide if the wraparound was dying or building- a couple of runs and then stranded a few hundred meters from shore, told me it was the former :-(
Good practice for trying to coordinate the wing/foot pumping but not too high on the "yea haw" factor.

Quiet at Nitinaht. I guess the forecast scared everyone. Just a few light showers, and lots of wind. I headed out just as Chris G finished. Very unusual to be the only one on the lake in June. A bit gusty, but a great session.

Gusty with lots of North, swells built up and there were some big smoooth swells at the point. Had some whoop whooping and raised heart rate, starting to go left and right on the swells. Met up with RBL down in the bay ripping big smooothies, keep it going RB!!!

I got in for the early shift with DocMark and Poper, trying to avoid the nuke winds forecasted. Gusty but manageable winds with the 5m and the swells at the point were much smaller than at other times. I marvelled at DocMark's jumpy brilliance. As time went on the winds continued to amp up, particularly beyond the point forcing my lazy/chicken ways to stay in the bay and just carve rather than go in and get my 4m. But, I only had an hour.
