Launch 10 and swim out to the wind line. A little gusty and shifty, but better past the km marker. Enjoy lightweight Glide A 6m when it shut off and I sailed in sitting on my board. So easy to hold up in the breeze.

Checked at 7 no wind left over from the night gale. Then RBlocal said it's west and foilable. Coffee and banana and joined him off the point. Fun swells and the wind once again was better than forecast. Wingdoc joined then Gus and Bobson then the full squad showed up as I packed it in. Sunny and cold!

Back on the Omen 850 and KT. God dang I love the feel of this foil at speed. So efficient and easy to keep pinned. Tweezer, Bobson, RBL and Gus out. Fingers got too cold so packed it in while the second shift got on it. Fun!

Best session since the coast last year. Waves were epic, 3 wingers out and one windsurfer, maybe John? Every time I sailed past Jeryn we just looked at each other in disbelief. My longest flagged out rides to date. Got taken out by a few monsters though and it was a struggle to get going again. Trying to do the stink bug start in head high breaking waves is punishing but those long rides were worth the struggle. Unfortunately my watch died half way through the session, so only half the gps track.

Timing is everything. Expected the wind to die, so I spent the morning watching it on the computer. Decided it was worth a trip to the beach. Arrived as TunaCan and Tweezer were getting off the water. It kept getting stronger, so I rigged the 4m. (Half of my usual). The shore break was huge, but I eventually muscled my way through it. Got to ride back on the HULU Ferry Swell from the 4:30 Run. Always fun chasing rollers. There are now 6 newish Wazp Foilers at the Sailing CLub. Up from 4 yesterday.. Some may be temporary , I dunno.
Snow line was down near CHippendale Road above Hwy 99 & it was sleeting at the Beach.

Very powered 10m session with waist/shoulder high waves out by the Mike Marker.
Got blown off the water when wind ramped up and gusted 30+, was tempted to grab the TT for fun speedruns and boosties between the growing sandbars.
Great waves with lots of lip-smacking goodness, when the wind and swell angle start working, that place is magic. Shame no other surfcraft shared the sesh, but looks like they were on it earlier.
Sad I missed the Wing Party, Tsawassen!

Nope, not Winging yet. Still need a Wing. Arrived to Willows with TunaCan and The Twizz packing it in which was weird cause it looked amaze-balls!! Probably 20-25kts onshore. What a fantastic start to the Winds of March! I was looking for a short session, being still tired from snow day Thursday, and the forecast looked promising. It was much better than that! Launch at high noon on the outgoing tide. 3.5m was the right call, even over-powered at times. First session on new MA 1050 cm2! Nice! Wore the 7mm Xcell mitts as had trouble keeping my hands warm in 5mm gloves previously. Nice and toasty in the dry suit with three layers of fleece under. No need for knee pads under the dry suit with the dual-density deck-pad. The swell was huge at times and I tried to stay away from the breaking sets. Started off thinking this'll be a short slide until it dies. It kept increasing! Came in for the small board and it held nicely until the finish when I was OP'd. Out with Highrocker initially, then Tuna joined, then Gord on a kite, then airtime Steve from Cattle. Swells off Turkey were fun long period and a little confused per normal. Surfed the reef a little with some good crumblers behind and inside. Way better than forecast!

About the same as yesterday but did a couple dashes to the Lions Gate ebb tide and flirted with my Wazping buddy who's working on his gybes. We now have 4 or 5 Wazps at Hollyburn Sailing Club and primarily two of us Windsurfing. WeCanFoil campaign and keen coaches got the Wazp fleet started.
Snow on the Grouse and Seymour looked great from the water.

It was supposed to blow a little harder today, but still it was good time and it was really neat to see some dolphins underneath me chowing down on jellyfish bloom, tons of gray streaks in the water very very long streaks of these fish things, also looks like the Mobbie rays have returned saw a bunch of really small ones jumping in front of me. Out for a job but switched to Sightsee sailing in weird weather.. Could also be called scarried cat sailing.. Good enough for Wazp's to foil when I had my rig stowed. Conditions have been fair to hot in the last week.. Missing time at home in Nanoomo.

Was over on the west side of the peninsula for four days nice to smell the Pacific Ocean a little fresher over there Toto Santos and the area brought this supboards hoping to do a little sup surfing but both days it was a little too big for me 8 to 10 feet, but it was windy too, so no go ,the way home when I got back to los Barriles , wind up late and got out for a nice late afternoon. Lots of turtles out there. 5 met perfect , loving the harness lines now to get up when quick

Double session - after a morning of disappointing snowboarding at Cypress, kitesurfing at 3rd Ave was my redemption.
Cash and I arrived at the noon lull just when the 3 windsurfers and 3 wingers (Michael, Sam, Jaryn) called it quits. We scored a sweet waist high breaking wave session in SSE 20-25 g 30. Endless bottom turns on 8m+surfboard for me and 10m+TT for Cash. Called it quits when the wind got too strong. Surprised no other kiters joined us.

Into the washing machine! Quick after work sesh off cattle on my own. Pretty cold
at work but committed to the gloves right away for the first time this winter and stayed toasty the whole session. Sailed down to willows to say hi to Tweezer and Jon, they were cruising around with a couple of kites. Haven't done that much swimming in awhile due to the confused seas and big puffs helping me breach. Felt nippy first, stopped snowing! Shouldda gone w/ 4.2 like Dane but it didn't look so windy. Immediately OP on 4.7/94 so I grabbed 4.2/85 combo & it too felt bit much. Had some great smooth wave sets, choppy @times later resulted in bigger nuggets in Udderland, one memorable well overhead ride! Dane's getting those waverides dialed, nice going. My other hip's not too happy. Also got bitch slapped by a wave late made my bell ring. Hot tub bound! Still no pops tho!

Started at Agate, but wind died before I got on the water. Shifted to Willows. Wind was light when I arrived, so I rigged big. Highrocker and Bobson were making it work. Shortly after I got out, the wind ramped up and I was overpowered on the 8m. I was having too much fun, so I didn't bother pumping a smaller wing. Gus joined in the fun. The Pope was just heading out as I was finishing. Excellent session. Dry suit and toaster mitts did the trick today.

Just got in before Bobson and was treated to some upwind slogging so I could hope to lift downwind. Lots of pumping tries so I was nicely warmed up and mildly exhausted. Finally got lucky and got a full hour or so on 6/10 winds. Best at the MTI level to CP and back. Had fun chasing Bobson and jibing in front of him to piss him off and get him on my GoPro. MtnarG was ripping it on 8m in 20kt winds. He can definitely handle the big dacron! Great to see Gus again as he was jumping in as I was driving away. May ... (more)

Okay, that was COLD!! HighRocker was rigged up and ready to go as I arrived. He went out and it took a few mins for him to find a gust but he did and then was linking the gusts together with his ginormous foil! I headed out but changed out the stabilizer from the 255SLR to the old 255 which I've used for the last 2.5 years. Well, it wasn't how I remembered it being so steady and easy.
