It was barely WSW 15 but James and Adam made it work on their wings ... then Mike (wind foiling) and I (12m+surfboard) caught the tail end. Short session but worth the smooth shoulder high swell. Kinda spooky to ride with minimal bar pressure but the "powder" like conditions made it worthwhile.

Big thanks to Grant (Mount Narg?) for showing up right when it dropped and I had given up with the 5m. He was going out on the 8m, and I wasn't just going to let him go out solo, so I pumped up the 6.5. Good thing! It rebounded to upper teens, fairly steady about halfway out of the bay. Perfect for the 6.5. I love the Slicks. Need to replace the DD with a new Slick. DD up for sale soon. Made for a great additional hour or so.

Arrived at Clover to some sun and gusty winds. After some discussion with Clive decided to rig small and went to the 5m and foil. Challenging conditions with lots of current, gusty wind and the odd kelp that would trip up the foil. But it was still nice to get out on the water.

Arrived to wind way outside and sad faces on beach (wind had just dropped). Took DFly and 5m out and immediately got flying in the light inside followed by a kelp wrassle. Outside was windy, swelly, and getting windier! Went back for the 3M which was perfect. Swell got even bigger! Locked into some of the biggest RB swell I've seen yet. Saw Bobson's reports of Cattle Point (thanks!). Looked very light at home. Perfect opportunity to test the DFly's light wind potential. Looked super light at the beach and Bobson/Gus chatting on shore seemed a bad sign for water tme. Bobson eventually gave it another go and was foiling part of the time on a tiny 800 foil/7m. Drove by Cattle Pt. cuz I was bored. Bobson and Wingdoc were both out foiling the puffs. Wingdoc came in on his new dragonfly 110, 1675 foil and offered me a try, so I suited up and pumped up the 5. Very efficient through the water! Got going in nothing! I wouldn't have gone out in that wind normally. Thx Wingdoc for the slide on the new board! Very cool!

Arrived to wind looking good. 10kts inside and maybe 14kts outside. On the water on my 6.0m and it was foiling right off the marker off the ramp, turned out by Jemmy Jones in a lull and off the foil. Pump x 10 and back up. It started to get lighter so went in and rigged the 7.0m and went back out and The Drunken Monkey showed up. Sweet surprise session at CP thanks to Bobson's wind obsession and timely OSR. Consistent power in the middle of the mouth of Cad Bay. Sometimes insufficient for me to stay on foil during a few of my stbd gybes, but that's a lack of skill issue. I think I'm trying to gybe too tight in the light winds and I need to widen the arc. Lots to learn. Great to whoop it up with Bob, even for that short time.

I would have schlogged out to it but then it it died like it was supposed to, I would be quite a ways out and didn't want to be a loser and end up getting towed out around Trial by the Tide or have breakage as no one else was around. Had the late morning off from kids, work, etc. Arrived at 10:30, and it looked decent. By the time I got my gear ready everybody was back on the beach. Thankfully didnt get my suit on. Went and checked on the boat at OBM, had a coffee, heard the halyards start to rattle, so headed back to Willows. Idefix and Morley were rigged up, but looked marginal - fun hour mowing the lawn. Had to swim in when the wind died after an hour. Really enjoy sailing at Willows tho.

Short but eventful session at Willows with Greg, Mtnarg, Twizzler, and Bobson. Onshore winds made it tough for me to get out where the better winds were so I stuck around the bay and tried to stay out of the other foilers way. 1st "DW" post! Really this was more of a "can I actually stand on this thing in chop and paddle it" test than a true DW, but I paddled for an hour doing laps back upwind. Challenging conditions and not much in the way of steep swell to glide up onto foil. It was much more of an interval training/technique session, but I did get the board into the air twice before getting flung off like a booger off a kid's finger. Interesting learning curve ahead!

Left the house at 9 and got home at 4 but only a couple of hours actually on the board. Got parts of the second and third sessions and pretty much steady chats in the lulls when I wasn't drifting in. Did a kayak jaunt in a lull to keep warm. Some big pumpathons. Made a couple of dry if not foiled through jibes, happy with that in the light wind. Great turnout. Just at the start of the last session I thought it was going to OP crank for one reach but instead of building it tanked again.

2 for 1 session. First sesh almost didn't happen. Sacrifices were made. Decent swell, puffy wind and light inside. Hard to catch the few waves. Wind died, debrief, then it came back for 2nd shift. wind was so smooth but swell confused and no waves. Weird day. Smelly too.

Whack of weekend warriors waiting as I got there, heater blasting 1st time this fall! Things filled in a bit @10, 5.3/118 was under inside, full on/OP outside. had some laughs on/off, Rainbow appeared 2x but just to nod hello, it didnt like the 2 foils. Or the poo & fish stench, way to go RDN!
More wind in yard than on that bit boring flattt water. But nice to see the ladies out today! No rain but fingies could barely de-rig, gloves next

Woke up, had coffee and Tweezer cakes and headed to Willows. Arrived at 8:15am to 1 Wing going out at Willows and 1 out at CP. Was thinking I might see Mr. B at Willows this morning as we haven't seen him for awhile but he did not arrive, just wishful thinking I guess. Oh Well, maybe next time. Wind was solid 10-15kts with lots of caps East of CP. As I rigged up, Paul and MtnarG showed up. Launch at 930 in an act of faith, it was Sunday, as water had gone glassy. Regretting not rigging the 6m for the first hour, then nice and powered up on the 5m for most of the second:)
NE was stronger and when it shift to E it dropped. A few wings and kites out. Enjoyed some nice gusts to 25! But mostly 15knots with a couple of lulls to 10.
Still windy!

Willows cam looked promising at daybreak. Went for it off the point with an onshore packing a 4m, feeling cocky. Got up on a gust but wind softened and it was boat speed back in. Went back out on 6m. 5m in the shop. Was easy and fast at first then things kept just turning on and off leaving me frequently stranded. Swell was all over the map. Good to see Bobson out there to make me feel incompetent'lol.

I had a hilarious start to my session where I tried, with great frustration, to take off with my stabilizer covers still on. Got back in and finally went out for a proper session. Short but sweet. Lots of really good swell. Starting to get a handle on the Omen rig. So good. Gaining more and more confidence in the jibes and flagging. Great to see the whole crew out on the water.
