Weather a bit all over the place. Arrived to about 20kts which quickly became about 8kts within 15min of getting out on the water. Came back in and waited for 10min and the wind came back up. Ignored the ominous looking black clouds and enjoyed some gusty conditions punctuated by heavy rain.

Arrived to very little wind. Hung around till there was a little bit of wind. Started on the 6m. Wind picked up and I was way over powered. Switched to the 5m. Had a great session till I noticed the stitching on the canopy was letting go. Went back to the beach. Too lazy to pump the 4m. Good fun. Good turnout.

Started out with my 6m after Mtnarg yelled at me, "too big"! But I was too lazy to switch. That session lasted all of 8 min. I came back with a vengeance with my 4m. I tried to join the elite riders playing in the swells, but my chicken feathers came up. Regardless, I had great fun gybing and carving and even the occasional short flag in the near-shore swell. Arrived at 1pm to a full on rain squall, there were a few kiters setting up. I decided to rig small and went with a 5 m and foil. After launching the wind started going down, managed to get a quick session in and luckily made it back to shore without dumping the kite. Good times all round.

Got there after mopping up my leaking office. Waited for a lull to end and had a short session of nice power and a couple close to sailing out jibes. Canopy makes a pretty good umbrella in rain if you have power to keep it overhead. Black torn clouds building and getting closer got me back to the beach. Threat of lightening passed and I tried again but after two foiling runs it was done. Winddov snd a white wing milked out a good session staying out as I was packing.

Arrived to a lull and chit chat then game was on. Juiced for a long squall on the 5.5 until I couldn't hold on any longer and rigged down to 4. So nice to get a good wave session with long rides on steep swell down into the bay.

White Rock goes off! Surprised to see nearly a dozen kites in the air when I arrived. Launched at 12 at it was just enough for the first hour, with nice power in the second half. Some sweet swell riding and weeds almost nonexistent. A little bull kelp further out, but managed to avoid getting kelped. Nice session!

We chatted for a bit then Big Twizz went out and I rigged up the 5.2m Flyer as it was about 12-18 with maybe a bit more outside. No sun or rainbows today but bigger, slightly windier, esp @dark :/ rigged 5.0 in hopes of building winds but it was mostly frustrating UP a lot. 118 felt big n slow but it helped in near zero wind on the wave. I got a decent hour's worth of fun in another onshore session. Nothing in the bay, not even gusts that usually help to get you foiling. I found some steady-ish winds out beyond MTI, but even that was marginal. Glad to have Mtnarg with me in the swells. It totally died after an hour. Still ridiculously warm for a November ride!

Left work early as I wanted a warm-up with the 'new' foil for tomorrow. Similar gear but just different. 900cm2 front foil instead of the 800cm2 and 255 SLR stab instead of the reg. 255. The new stab is higher aspect and thinner which is supposed to be faster but was not as lifty. New fuselage, still 115cm but different leading edge which is supposed to be faster. Arrived to good wind (SE 15-17 knots ). It died as I was getting ready. I watched Highrocker slog for awhile. He eventually got foiling quite far out, so I went out to join him. Mostly slogging, with the odd little flights. It eventually died completely.

Short and less than wonderful time at Willows. A moderate onshore wind and swell made for less than ideal conditions. I got an hour on the water with maybe only half of that on foil. I still managed to find a couple of bits of loose kelp. Lancer noted that there was a poo smell at Willows. My sense of smell must be dulled by my own stench because I smelled nothing.

Made the trip to Nanaimo to try Pipers SE. Brrr, back to winter dress! Boots, gloves and hoodie, summer's over now : ( Nicely powered on the 4m for the first half then heavy rain doused the wind to 12 kts. I managed to stretch the session for another hour on the 5.0
Can't win 'em all!

That was only epic!!! Wind/wave had less to do with it.Lighter than forecasted 118/5.0 then 5.3 but scenery was amazing, stoke & vibe out of this world. Sea lions diving under my board & celebrating/ jumping in unison, one little guy belly surfing inshore totally showing off only overshadowed by full arc rainbows & sun blasting through in last hour. Never longed for a hero cam more. We are so lucky. I am grateful. So many people in the world don't know what this is like

Working away, vatchin it, perfectly timed with my job & Happy Hour. Anticipating 5.3/110 solo Zen sesh @hi tide, odd wave but it amped up! Shit! Well, held on for fun til it mellowed, still a bit OP w/ odd big wave inside, that was fun! I quit when it got lighter, left 20-30 on the table b4 dark but that was ok :) 9 degrees :/

Nice westerly - still warm. Still struggling with my ribs / core, took the straps off, thinking that would keep me from jumping, but turns out, you need to use your core significantly more without them. Nevertheless still nicely powered on the 3.5, some great swell up at Clover, didnt venture too far from there. Rode behind URL on a good one, and from behind you could only see his shoulders and head! Fun to focus on swell riding and not jumping, but think I will be putting the straps back on for next sessio ... (more)
