Breezy early! Managed to get out a bit earlier so yay! Strong wind, surprisingly flat but some nice waves did make their appearance. Seems a tad colder than Piper. A bit different angle of attack outbound as i could head straight upwind to inside of point at times, which would put me in to kelp attack zones! Love sunshine but the glare was brutal at one point, couldn't see anything which led to a few nice kelp throwdowns. Good crowd and fun all round.

First time on new advanced plus fuselage and skinny tail ,worked better less overfoiling very turny reminded me of full on slalom waterski didnt want to go straight. Wasn't the best night for new equipment as I got stuck deep in ross bay with not enough wind for 4M and then gusty further north , hard time starting definately not as relaxing as the BSC but fast turny and glidy. Good turnout and still pretty warm.

Good 7/10 session for about an hour as fatigue was winning and supper was approaching. I got some good intel from the OGs just finishing their session - Greg, MtnarG, Lancer. I got some good gybe and flagging practice in the near-shore and stayed out of the way of the elite riders out by the point. Nice to see the kelp forest dissipating.

Surprisingly good conditions. It was blowing minus the odd soft spot. Confusing swell further out but some good patterns on the inside. Lots of people having fun out there today. Headed in after two hours and not being able to feel my hands anymore. It's getting cold.

Cold October NW.
Not quite yesterday's intensity but still worth the drive for that swell :)) Started with the 3m, two more sail changes to end the day on the 5.0 Good swell lines off Clark and more surf by the Hudsons. Moved closer to the point late afternoon as the wind dropped on the outside.

The wind was very winter-like with lots of punches and lots of holes. Tide was high and the shore break was pretty big with a few logs rolling around too. I tried to enter the water at the bottom of the ramp on the windward side but got upended by a couple of big shore breaks. I managed to keep the kite controlled but thought better of it than to try that again. So I walked a couple hundred meters down the beach and had a much more pleasant entry into the water. Out on the water it was pretty fun as th ... (more)

Had the afternoon off with some wind around! Showed up at 1ish before the crowd. Felt like a few weeks since a real session, so took some time to settle back into it. Super fun all over the bay. Landed my first 360 attempt and thought to myself "I got these now, no problem" and then didnt land one again after maybe 8 attempts. Oh well. Lots of fun swell around up at Clover.

Had clover to myself for a while. A bit messy, but some really steep swell there and some smooth rollers now and then. Haven't had that much fun there in a while. Crazy gusty and a bit chilly. DW attempt #1 after the wing session was not so epic.

Was keeping an eye on the RB Webcam now and then and saw lots of Wings out. So after work ripped down to RB to see approx. 10 Wings out and more on the beach. So rigged up the 4.5m Flyer and small board which is much more fun in the waves. Also rigged up the shorter 95cm fuse and longer 95cm mast. Perfect!! Had to schlog out for 2 mins to hit the wind line but then it was ON!! Windy and very Wavey! Almost all my gybes on the outside were schfincter-clenching as I'd be heading straight downhill with no brake ... (more)

Launch from dog beach and stayed upwind '?
One of the best sessions ever and warm as toast!
Wind was strong enough. High tide made the swell epic! Had Acadia to myself. Would have been happy to share.

Enough wind inside to plane out to Clark rock. Nice swell and good wind on the outside until it dropped and went quite west.. Lots of clouds over Cassidy and west flow dampered it down from yesterday. Fun but always want more.

Awesome day, best day of the year for me or at least comparible to CB last spring. Bunch of Victoria people tired of waiting for wind. Had a limited amount of time as we were going to family dinner in Cedar . Went out on trusty and easy bsc 890 wanted to try new fuselage and skinny tail with spitfire but was nursing a sore back and didn't want to waste any time going to shore. So much fun and awesome swell rides. Lots of stoke. sunny and warm.

Arrived around 11 in the Tweezer sprinter to blue sky, sun, whitecaps 20+ !!! A good group already there and prepping, a bunch of tourists from Vic - moi, tweezer, RB Local (Ryan), RupDog(rupert), MF4(morley), WindJunky(mike) and wannabe Vic guy Idefix(dan). Thanks to all the local crew for hosting and welcoming us with the banter :) A shout out and hug going to BWD from Adrian, i'm to deliver in person when i see you.
A really nice day on the water, big wind, could maybe have gone to 3m but the 4m was ... (more)

Can it get any better?
Sunshine, white caps and a busy rigging area this morning. I don't think we hit the 30kts but I was nicely powered on the 3.0 for the duration. Excellent swell lines at Clark Rk and even bigger surf near the Hudsons. More wings and fins in the afternoon. Still blowing 20 kts by days end. Thank you URL for the post-session refreshments. Good crowd, good vibe, great day :))

First time winging at Piper's. Windy and some good swell. A bit too juicy on the 5m at first, better later. Good mix of wingers and windsurfers out there.

Almost didn't go because it looked cold and nasty but wow! Warm water makes a huge difference cold not an issue. Foiling was so fun even with frequent dunkings. Close on one jibe and ULR gave me a tip that should help. Some waves looked like proper surf with a wall and a dumping crest. Had some really great almost properly flagged out waves. Big Victoria wind starved contingent and locals like Adrien and David.

Steady, light wind made for a fun first day getting wet in just boardies and rash guard, Big Kites were the order of the day, one forgets how slooooowww they turn.
Sunwing somehow managed to send DB's clothing bag (which also contained his TT footstrap hardware and the surfboard fins) to Ireland instead of Cuba, only a slight breach of protocols. AirTags are pretty cool to track bags, but sometimes ignorance is bliss.
Hope they arrive in time for Tammy and her subsequent swell
