Yay! Another unexpected foiling session based on the poor forecasts. I headed to CP based on Paul's OSR that Bobson was on foil. Arrived at CP with RuppD, Paul, and ULR, watching Bobson foil around. Having just a short time window, I rigged 6.2m and hoped for the best. Lo and behold, foilable wind! It took more work than usual to get up and my upwind gybes were sketchy. Arrived at Noon to see Rupp-D playing hide and seek in the bushes'? Weird. Wind looked okay, maybe 10kts.? I started rigging the 7.0m Flyer and ULR arrived. He was a bit upset we didn't give an OSR and had to drive to see 'not much wind'. I headed out and it took maybe a minute to start foiling mostly because there was a sailboat race going right past the boat launch so I had to wait till they past as I didn't want to be 'that' guy. One of my best sessions ever at Cattle Pt with MtnarG, Paul, Lancer, Bobson, Tweezer, Ruppdog, and WindMD. Wonderfully flat water let you do whatever you wanted. Lots of gybe successes. Lots of close quarters maneuvering that was exhilirating. Got some footage of the OGs on foil and played gybe games with the elite foilers! Hard to beat! Best CP day ever (for me). Wind was a bit light when I started, so rigged big. I didn't think it would last. Boy was I wrong. Was over powered for the second half, but too lazy to go in and Re-rig. Good crowd. Made some foiling gybes. Good fun.

Saw the leaves moving, checked the OSRs, headed down and the parking lot was crowded! Decent puffs coming through. Nice session chasing wakes! 1 tug, 1 crab boat, couple sailboats. None worth the chase however. Good crowd out - bobson, Paul, Rupdog, Mtnarg, Highrocker, Lancer, Wingdoc. Fun tail chasing!

HA!! Friday the 13th and I Nailed it!! CP on a NE is the best and today did not disappoint. Got out early and made it quick. 50kms Done! Bang! Just in time to catch the last of it. Arrived to 25 kts onshore. Hmmm 3 or 4m? Debated for a few minutes with HRock and Greg. The 4m was the right choice for an hour. Upsized to extend the session but a good hour in wind and swell was all we were gonna get. No complaints :)

First session on 10m at low tide with the twin tip. Some fun screaming reaches in the butter flat, but the wind had already backed off at 0930 and stayed Easterly the rest of the day.
Second session with 12m and surf board at hight tide.
Would have worked better on the twin tip due to all the weeds, and a little more power to would have helped to jump the board.
Still, not a bad day.

It was nice to get out there after a recent lull period. Sadly, I timed it for a 3/10 session at Willows. I was intimidated by the looks of east side of Clover, so I headed to Willows to meet up with Greg, Dan, and GMan. Initially it felt like 4m winds and we all pumped up accordingly. I arrived just as all the 8m kites had landed. The wind was backing off. I pulled a 10m from the truck but went back immediately and grabbed a 12m. Josh went out on a 14.5m and was coming in as I was ready to go. That is a bad sign. Fun day and great windsurfer turn out of 9 windsurfers. 2 wingfoilers (Sam and another) came to join the party later. Started out quite powered on the 95ltr and 5.0. Wind backed off and took a break to see if it would return. Went back out with the 111ltr and all was fine. Nice when just one sail is required for the session. Kus...the beer was great...thanks!!!

Got there just as wind was dying decided to give it a go anyways with big gear. swell looked pretty good. Got up on foil right away but it didn't last long got in a couple runs but hard to position yourself on the waves with no power in the wing. Nice warm swim in. Thanks to Rupdog for helping with my gear down the beach.

Good to be back on the water, but not the day I was hoping for. Short challenging session. 4m was the right call for me.
Lance, Paul, & I launched at the South end of the beach to avoid the shore break.
Tea house parking was closed for filming a Christmas movie. It was fun watching them try to make the fake snow stick to the logs in winds gusting to 30kts.

Arrived after work with 2 kites on the water, 1 was on a foil. Took out my windmeter and it registered 12-18kts. I had the small board, which feels very small compared to the 150. Also chose the 95cm fuse as I feel it is more playful with the waves. It was but changing board and foil was difficult to ride compared to my 'go to' big board, long fuse. Epic Session. Surprised to be the first in the water and only one of five there before I left 2 hours later. Conditions were a little weird with a 90 degree onshore wind...lol. Not for the faint of heart but pretty awesome if you stayed away from shore. Wind was pushing me to go get my 3m but I was too lazy and decided to have my arms ripped out of my shoulder sockets instead.
